Saw that posted here the other day & thought, "it can't be that bad."

Decided to finally watch it now.

I refuse to believe that it isn't a bit.

 

Still would love to hear those tracks Courtney Love apparently has stashed away.

I saw Laura Jane Grace's tweet about that cover and thought "no one deserves to be bullied for their music," so I watched the video out of curiosity. I got about 30 seconds in, decided maybe some light teasing is justified, and exited out real fast.

 

I will be fair as well and say that there's a video of him doing it in 2005 where he sounds good.

A member of a band I love supporting a racist homophobic alleged rapist and apparently now pedophile inciting civil war across America? Why would that tar my enjoyment of something?

 

So you would enjoy Scentless Apprentice less because the bassist might be a bit of a dickhead?

 

I mean I wouldn’t enjoy associating it with that person yeah. It does kind of taint it a little knowing there’s that association now...and the person who he’s choosing to praise is beyond what any rational person would call a dickhead. Nothing can take away from the actual music but it’s preferable for him to not be spouting off crap like this.

 

Yeah so it wouldn't ruin Nirvana. And the dickhead comment was about Krist, not Trump.

 

I really don’t get what’s so hard to grasp about why it might make someone feel a bit iffy when listening to them if they happen to think about how a core member is praising Trump. I don’t want my favourite music to have any relation to that. And obviously - but when that dickhead is praising a colossal asshat with any number of human rights violations under his belt you can’t help but wonder if that person is more than ‘just a bit of a dickhead’.
