Okay, that's it. 100% complete on Links Awakening, minus those extra Dampe dungeons, screw that.

 

Yeah, I feel like the dungeons I made were just too simple to be engaging, and since I created them, I wasn't entertained by completing them. Maybe there are other people out there who are more imaginative than me who created ones that'd be interesting for me.

 

I rented DKC Tropical Freeze but I’m not enjoying it as much as I had with DKCR and DKC 1&2

15 hours in to DQ 11 and I got to say this is the most fun Ive had with a traditional JRPG in a while

 

7 year old me was addicted to this game

 

it’s a perfect game

 

20 Hours in DQ and I lost almost all interest.

I wouldn’t go quite that far but the pacing and the design of the overworld aren’t helping this game imo. There’s no way I’ll finish before Pokemon.

 

I'm forcing myself to not start anything new before Pokémon lol

 

The story is just not doing anything rn and there isn’t anything interesting happening mechanically either that makes me wanna keep going.

Yeah theres a nice shake up coming up, I remember feeling that way initially too around Phon Ho.

 

yeah you want an open world map to make the pacing even worse

 

despite growing up in a Nintendo family I never got to play Air Ride

 

We had this talk. You can do non-open world hub worlds with better pacing than this. I’ve also seen a lot of open worlds with better pacing though. Anyway, the pacing is not the primary problem of the hubworld. The hubworld is just fucking boring and lifeless as fuck.

 

Well golf story is the epitome of an okay game
