I want this just because I never feel comfortable taking my OG Switch out of the house. Will be cool to have a way where I feel better bringing Switch games on-the-go (and with better battery life!).

where yall goin to play this on the go where you aren't driving or actively doing something? no snark genuinely curious. i have a one hour commute each way on public transpo five days a week so that's a lot of time i play a game on my phone or something but i feel im the minority there and dont really have any other place something like a Switch would fit in to an average day until i get home

I think the basic Switch is an unwieldy handheld. I don’t dare to hold it with one hand for example because I’m pretty sure I’ll end up breaking of the joy con. So if you like the handheld lifestyle, regardless of whether you are outside or not, the Lite looks a lot better.

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if the main audience for this is like retirement homes and day cares across the globe that have Wiis still

Idk it always feel really fragile and I'm afraid of damaging it by accidentally dropping it

 

wouldnt you be out nearly the same amount if you dropped your brand new switch lite

 

in my limited experience playing with my niece’s, the switch feels pretty stout. the one odd thing was that the kickstand was off center and flimsy.

 

Honestly this just looks sturdier to me, especially because it was designed exclusively as a handheld.

Also I'm not saying any of this makes logical sense lol this is really all just in my head.

Also it's like more than double that price over here

 

Even on my new switch, the joy cons just pop off with very little pressure. Just holding it against my body causes them to detach.

Also, guess I’ll get a third and fourth switch.
