Wave Race was great. So was Subnautica.

 

Those are water games.

Water levels in something like Mario is what I'm referring to.

 

Nintendo/Platinum is killing it. I hope this is true.

 

Oh. Those are good too. I liked the Water Temple in OoT.

water levels are the worst level in any game. I blame the drowning music in Sonic

 

I think they're so bad that they legit ruined my mood towards Super Mario Sunshine. That's the only big Mario game I've never beaten.

water temple was easy in the 3DS version.

the water stages in Super Mario 64 kinda sucked

 

almost bought the first one today plus the 2-in-1 guide for both GBA games because I like owning guides

 

I was terrified of Mario 64’s water levels when I was a kid

 

Their music was usually great, though.

water temple is awesome. in terms of the design of the temple its the coolest with it’s verticality and the water rising and lowering. the temple i really hate in that game is the fire one, not sure why but im always disoriented in it.

 

M64 is amazing, but the water levels suck

Sunshine is amazing, but that one underwater-heavy level sucks

the water temple sucks, as do all pre-BotW dungeons

Am I the only one that hopes it isn't Scalebound? Sure, it will be a good burn, but I'd much rather it be a first party game instead of another one from platinum.

 

You don't like the dungeons in WW, TP and SS?

 

I don’t think it would be a good idea for Nintendo to revive Scalebound aside from the initial “holy shit” factor

 

I guess they’re fine in WW, but I never really enjoyed them, I just wanted to get past them. Love WW though.

I don’t like TP and SS much at all, except for particular aspects (Midna etc.)

As if BOTW had dungeons to even compare them to

 

tp dungeons are simultaneously some of the most interesting and draining dungeons in the series. they all do a good job at introducing neat concepts like being spiderman with the two hookshots, grinding on rails, walking on walls with boots but every single one is soooo long that they all overstay their welcome. whenever you get to a new dungeon its exciting because you wonder what it has in store for you but you know youre gonna be there for like two hours.

 

Water levels >>> ice levels

 

I feel like the new mario maker game is gonna be a significantly better investment if you're looking for that kind of game. Plus I heard that this new mario maker is gonna have multiplayer so that would be a great game to get to play with friends
