I like how Nintendo is the only one surprised by this news.

Nintendo: 3DS sales falling “faster than anticipated”

 

I still play the system because it has an amazing library, but I'm sure they're just bluffing about support till theres a price cut/revision for the switch

 

The obvious sign to me was 3DS games being on sale everywhere, even fairly recent ones, and the lack of space given to it and its games in stores

 

2.85 million in 2018 is pretty damn strong though for what it is, that’s a lot of cheap money

I still use my 3DS a lot, just as much as my Switch and PS4 atm. It's got a lot of great games.

 

There’s still a couple of 3DS games I’ve been wanting to pick up. Samus Returns and Detective Pikachu for sure.

 

I loved Samus Returns

 

I've had Samus Returns since release and still haven't played it lol

 

I really didn't like Samus Returns because of the controls. Everything else was nice, but the controls were so clunky and convoluted.

I'm actually playing Detective Pikachu right now and while the gameplay itself is quite simple and easy, which is a bummer but makes sense for it's targeted audience, I can say without a doubt that it's the best Pokemon game I've ever played in terms of making the world feel organic and interesting. The way the Pokemon and the humans interact and how each Pokemon does its own thing and has its own personality is very cool. It also has some of the cutest fucking moments in the game franchise.

 

It's wild how little we know about Nintendo's release schedule for 2019 at the moment. I would have imagined we'd have a release date for at least Fire Emblem by now.

In terms of gameplay it really is meh, but the aspect of how you see the Pokemon working at coffee shops or walking around doing their own things while you investigate the world is really really well done.

I finally started octopath last night. I want to like jrpgs so bad but it’s also such a chore to read and grind. Like I put 35 minutes into it and I haven’t even done anything. And that’s about all the time I have to put into a game in a given day.

 

Yoshi’s Crafted World on March 29th is all that matters anyways

There’s still a ton of 3DS games I want to check out. Or at least buy so they can just sit there forever and one day when I’m old(er) I’ll play
