Weird for them to charge you so early! Walmart already released the temporary $500 hold for me after a week

I had to pay right away to Walmart but it's just a temporary hold for them to make sure you have the funds, then they remove it after 3-5 business days

 

From what I remember with preorders at target, they place the hold and refund it several times between preordering it and shipping it

 

Nothing temporary here, they definitely took my money, which does make me feel confident about the preorder

Nintendo Switch 2 pre orders for Switch online members are now being sent out. The emails will continue to roll out until 8pm PST

 

Probably a dumb question but I haven’t gotten a system from GameStop in ages, reserved in store. I can pick it up whenever after release date right? I don’t really care for going at midnight to get it but I would get it that weekend. Just making sure they don’t cancel my reservation or something if I’m not there to get it in the first day or two of release lol

I already have a Switch 2 pre ordered so I told someone they could have my Nintendo invite if I get one. So I’m on the lookout

It's worth going ahead to see if you can order one, some people have been able to buy before actually getting the email.

Don't think it precludes you from being able to get one if it doesn't let you right now but accounts that have already been marked as eligible can buy them before the email comes.

 

just logged in to see what was up and the button says 'invite required' still. nintendo hates me.

 

I mostly just want to get the GameCube controller but still showing Invite Required for me

 

They're punishing me for spreading StarTropics awareness.

 

Mine says ‘invite required’ as well. I guess my membership since day 1 of Switch Online isn’t enough for them.

 

Yeah mine also says Invite Requested. Would have been cool to snag a GCN controller

 

they should've given me priority for the sheer amount of hours i spent in Splatoon 2 alone

 

also, playing Astral Chain for the first time and hoo boy i don't think i like the way the combat feels so far
i'm still early but it doesn't inspire me to wanna play it for long periods. like- after finishing a section i unlocked a mechanic that i had JUST said i wished i had, maybe it'll start feeling better later on when i have more abilities but it should still feel smooth in the beginning

 

Crazy the people who didn't get an invite

 

Son of a bitch, I got my invite just now and went to check out the GameCube controller, and it said "hold on! You have to buy this with a Switch 2 bundle!" when I hit the Google Pay button

So... Just be warned. If you want just the controller, the invite apparently won't work
