I’d argue tariffs. Covid was horrible because they couldn’t make consoles. Tariffs are bad because they might be out pricing people of consoles. I think that’s worse.
That's an easy question. Covid was “great” for them (after the initial scare), it boosted video game and console sales immensely. Not being able to make enough to meet excessive demand is a luxury problem compared to not having enough demand.
The simple solution to this is of course to ship the Vietnamese consoles to the US and the Chinese to the rest of the world. I should have thought of that too. Nintendo gets breathing room on tariffs — just in time for Switch 2 launch
Anyone who was gonna raise prices now due to tariffs are going to still do it now despite the 90 days.
Anyone try out Star Overdrive? Sounds like it's a Zelda BOTW/TOTK clone combined with hoverboard racing and people seem to actually like it
Because it came from Nintendo UK last week that the carts came with a download code. It's in the article.
Yeah I believe it. That’s why the games are so expensive. The Steam deck has worse hardware, is 100 dollars more expensive and valve is losing money on them. The only thing Nintendo has over them is scale.
Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines Switch 2's Mario Kart World bundle includes a physical copy in some regions
The Nintendo stores pre-orders were already set to start on May 8th, even before the April 9th delay, and it looks like IGN mistakenly reported that as the new pre-order date. What a mess lol
Nintendo, I usually do my best to try to see your side of things and call people out for overreacting but come on, what the fuck are you doing? https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/s/oFWiLSOiXo
Ooof. It does seem like DLC should still be *playable*, but you do still need to buy it separately. Kinda crazy for first time players with the increased price.
they shouldn't be considering this the definitive way to play the game if it doesn't even include the DLC. that's fucking ridiculous. you need to shell out $90 for the whole experience if you don't own it yet!
