Watching the Kinda Funny’s Games Daily episode and Supergiant clarified that this will also be on the original switch.
I’ve been watching some of the Mario kart footage from tree house. Feels like Nintendo is doing a mind trick on me while watching it. “You want to pay whatever we ask”
Surprised they cancelled Canada preorders due to US tariffs. Does Canada get their shipments from the US or something?
I don’t know how easy it is for Americans to order stuff in Canada but if it’s like I think it is then it might just have to do with them not wanting Americans to take over Canada’s preorders
Now I'm curious if they stick to the current pricing knowing that the costs would go up after the pause.
They wouldn't have to raise the price for all of the stock that hits the US before the 90 days are up. So there's really no reason to unless they're not shipping enough over here in time. Someone more intelligent can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure if Nintendo already had enough stock to make it to January somehow, they could mass ship that shit in the next 90 days and just have them sit in warehouses. It would only be any stock after that that would get hit when the asshole unpauses it.
Yeah, that's a good point. Also, no one knows if the pause would be extended after 90 days so a preemptive increase would seem cruel, to me at least lol.
Yeah that's what Apple did. They flew like 5 planes full of iphones to the US before the tariffs hit.
Not all, especially not China, which is where a significant amount of them will still be made (Vietnam is not the whole production), as well as parts I assume

given the uncertainty of the price and the lack of any IMO (I cannot stress that enough) system sellers on release, I'm cool with killing my backlog until a new 3d Mario comes out will be living vicariously through yall that do get it at launch tho :)
It wouldn’t be good for Nintendo to keep the $449 price for the first month of release only to raise it, and it wouldn’t be good for them to have a higher price while tariffs are paused. Not really sure what the best move is.
It would be longer than the first month of release, unless they don’t have a lot of stock. The price would be set until the initial stock ran out and further shipments would then be tariffed. They could keep the $449 price going for months if they’ve built up enough stock and ship it here.
