I'm not trying to be a contrarian but that's so many games haha but seriously, how much bigger than Pokémon can you go for the holidays. Like, that's bigger than Mario and Zelda combined. also I think this holiday it's enough for the Switch 2 to just exist.
NEVER! Did I not celebrate Saga Frontier 2 Remastered for you when they announced it? How are you gonna do me like that?
Yeah Pokemon is probably getting released in November like I think most of the mainline games have been released recently. They have plenty, especially with all of the third party games they announced. I myself have not played a few of them even though I have a PS5 so I think they’re good lol.
Listen, when they announce it, I will be the first to congratulate you. The first! I STILL WANT IT NINTENDO YOU CAN'T KEEP IT FROM ME DO YOU HEAR ME
Also, for realizes, I concur with @digitalsea, we need Astral Chain 2. Like if only to save Platinum Games.
October is tight but there's no reason not to hope for that game. Next Level hasn't done anything since Strikers in 2022, unless they're the ones developing Wheelchair Rocket League.
Not talking about this year, but I would actually really like to be surprised and see Nintendo announce remakes of the Oracles games or Minish Cap at some point. WW/TP I could honestly live without because it's more a matter of convenience to me besides having a remaster just being nice, when done well. But the remakes of those games would probably go pretty hard. Only thing that could top that would be a Star Fox Adventures remaster. lol Some new games I'd like to see happen: Astral Chain 2 obviously, a new Paper Mario that goes back to TTYD mechanics but evolves it (direct sequel?), a new Star Fox game (classic sequel or somehow an Adventures sequel), and fuck give me a new Yoshi's Island.
For Zelda’s 40th anniversary next year I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they have an Ocarina of Time remake
Let’s be honest—a lot of the games are either Switch upgrades or pre-released third-party games so yeah. I’m still stoked but, given the pricing, there should probably have been more to have been excited about that are pure Switch 2 games.
You guys are all talking about more exclusives, real cocky assuming you Americans even get the Switch this year lol
this is what everyone was asking for. an upgraded Switch. I want to hear no talk about "these are only upgraded switch games". hell, given the current state of the world the nicest thing Nintendo could do is a long and thorough dual-release strategy where games come out on both platforms. we desperately need more people playing those games, not less. again, Tears of the Kingdom is still the undisputed king when it comes to ambitious gameplay systems and that's running on 8 year old mobile hardware. I don't want to hear none of this "the Switch is holding anything back", when even the PS5 doesn't have a game remotely as complex. and again, I have all those games on PC, I can tell you exactly that most "next gen" games are barely taxing my (not even that good) processor at 20% usage.
Well, it was two years between the Famicom and the original NES, so this is kind of nostalgic. And on the bright side, we may have plenty of games to choose from when it finally launches. I'd call that a win.
100% for new users like me that didn't have a Switch before. I'm incredibly stoked to finally get to play the two Zeldas and at 60 FPS. I can see why some users who have a Switch already not feeling the line-up as much given they've already played a lot of the originals before. The new DK game does look really good though and Metroid Prime is only around the corner.
