Id probably still day 1 this at $500, but if it goes higher than that I’m probably out for a while. I think they could be fine if it’s higher if we were closer to Christmas, but for a June launch idk

 

I’m just as excited to play through BOTW again (with the upgrade) as I am for new games.

 

Same. Mario Kart might be the only new game I buy for a while and will just have some fun in BOTW and TOTK again

 

I'm looking forward to Donkey Kong the most right now.

 

Yeah, this. Everything else is pretty okay, and I'm curious if MKW is more like DKR in vibes, but Donkey Kong is the one.

Edit: At least until Metroid has a drop date.

 

I’m interested in “mouse mode” with Metroid, but I have to see more before I get hyped

 

And the way I see it, I'm going for the bundle, so MK is gonna be there anyway. lol

Seamlessly switching between joycon modes mid game is pretty cool

 

Young Pauline is in Donkey Kong? Is this a prequel game? Is this DK Jr? or Cranky Kong? Dammit, what's the lore again?

 

They were in cahoots from the beginning. I for one am shocked and appalled by this revelation.

 

Pauline's daughter maybe? Cranky showed up in one of the treehouse streams so this is the same Donkey that has been in all the country games.

I take the lore of DK very seriously.

Tbh I prefer the art above as I thought the pants were pretty lame on first impressions.

 

I swear to God if his pants start talking...

 

Will it be the pants talking or will the voice be slightly muffled?

 

Could be a situation like in Odyssey where he can change outfits for different levels/missions etc.

 

A bit late to the party but I've been checking Switch 2 videos out today and whilst I'm not overly impressed with the launch line-up. I will be pre-ordering still and be getting the Zelda's.

I never owned a Switch so this will be my first experience with a Nintendo console in some time.

 

Lineup looks great, don't understand why so many people are complaining we don't have a new 3D Mario game

 

I’m fine with no 3D Mario since banaza looks similar to odyssey. The gameplay from treehouse looked like a great donkey Kong time

 

I’m also fine with no Mario game. I was just expecting a few more big first party titles from the rumours.

 

I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s at least 1 more big first party game for this fall that they’ll announce in their summer direct.
