Shocked and appalled that no one has commented on Konami reviving Survival Kids of all franchises. Deep cut for sure.

 

Gonna try for the preorder next week. Coming around tax time isn’t ideal, but fuck it. Gonna give my original switch to my 9 year old daughter as her first system. For all of you talking about paying for it later, how does that work? I’ve never preordered a console. Does Amazon not charge it until the item actually ships?

 

Yup, exactly that. And they're not the only ones. Like I think Target at least used to do it. So it's worth looking into what sites do it, if that helps financially to put off until ship date. That's what I'm hoping for.

Anyone know if you can still physically preorder at GameStop without putting the full money down? I did that to get my day 1 switch and it was a life saver

 

You'd probably be better off calling your local store and asking.

I’m going to try GameStop in-person first. If that doesn’t work then it is what it is.

 

this is a pretty big downgrade from the OLED at 4.5 to 9 hours

 

Everyone is already bitching about the end of Nintendo because of the prices. People are hard on hyping up Dolphin emulator and saying they're going to only support Nintendo through a Switch 2 emulator.

People are the biggest fucking children nowadays.

I get that the economy is fucked and inflation is bullshit and that no one makes nearly enough money, but to put all this blame on Nintendo when so many other companies do so much other anti consumer stuff it just seems so lame. I agree that the price of Mario Kart World is dumb, but its not like these people actually do anything to fight to system of greed that causes all these price hikes. They're just internet goons who pirate stuff to feel morally superior while contributing nothing to anyone.

$80 for Switch 2 editions? So the upgrade packs are gonna cost $20?

 

that’s what I’m assuming. sure would be cool if they included some more along with TOTK/BOTW with NSO

 

the upgraded versions for Zelda are about $10 more a piece, so i'm assuming they'll probably be about $10 to $15 (since the other upgraded games are adding new modes whereas this is more of a graphics/performance upgrade only)?

I can guarantee you they'll be pissed at Nintendo now, but they're going to be even more mad with every company starts doing the same in a few months. It's not like people haven't been spending a shit ton of money on digital deluxe editions and stuff for a while now. Easy to blame Nintendo when everyone else started raising prices beforehand and people still bought it all.

 

Well, I'm glad that the TOTK and BOTW are free for NSO subscribers... don't really care about upgrading the other Mario Party or Kirby

 

I think the price increase for the console is totally reasonable. $80 for a game is not reasonable. That's more expensive than a freaking PS5 game.
