but it seems like it might be $80? Still kinda silly IMO

 

$90 a game is fucking asinine, even for Mario Kart. hard pass if that becomes the norm. $80 is still steep but more doable.

 

I would expect a lot of AAA games to go up in price this year and next year. It's going to be fucking awful.

I wanna say “all Nintendo had to do was not get greedy” but at this point I think they can charge people whatever they want.

I do think they might be selling the switch 2 at either a loss or without any profits because looking at the specs the price is great.

 

What is the price? I must have missed it

$499 console + mario kart

so this really is the end of physical games for Nintendo, huh? idk how much data was stored on the Switch 1 game cards compared to their digital equivalents, but if it's all digital and the game card just gives you access to the digital game, what's the fucking point of buying cartridges?

edit: so based on what they said in the Direct re: data reading speeds, it looks like only select titles will be a "Game Key Card" whereas others will be a standard Switch 2 "Game Card"

 

Anyone going to try to pre order at a store or is everyone going to try Nintendo online?

Also, Prime 4 looks SO much better on Switch 2. Mouse controls seem like a win too.

 

Right?? I'm pumped for that. Always loved the Wii motion controls for the Prime trilogy.

 

Last time around I got super lucky and picked a Switch up on release day in the electronics section of my local grocery store. I'm not counting on that happening again, though. If they do preorders there I'll do that first, otherwise do Amazon or Best Buy.

 

I cannot believe we're getting a Kirby Air Ride sequel, a spiritual successor to Bloodborne, and a new DK game. I am so unbelievably stoked

 

I definitely thought we were getting a new Sakurai game, but I swore I thought it was gonna be a new Kid Icarus third person shooter. Did not see Kirby Air Ride coming at all.

 

The Kirby Air Ride reveal had me levitating out of my seat. My brain was moving so fast wondering why I knew that star shape it starts with, then it clicked, and then the full reveal. Fuck I can't wait to play it.

Haha thanks man! Just over 2 months here, but feeling good about it and not really having cravings anymore so I'm really happy about it. Just recently got a bonus at work, so I'm glad I didn't dip into that at all for stupid shit like that.
