Still think it's a good idea to release WW as a collection along with remasters of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.

Call it the Toon Link Saga collection or something

 

Doesn’t need a remake imo, Golden is great as it is, doesn’t feel outdated at all. I’m tired of people remaking games that really still work well as they are.

my assumption is that digital purchases will automatically be upgraded to enhanced versions, and physical copies will get a free download of whatever extra content they need to make the game run/look better. double dipping makes a little less sense if they're gonna tout AI upscaling, but i could be wrong and Nintendo might go that route.

 

Pretty simple to just make one screen a normal menu and make the game use normal controls.

I don't remember anything either game did that would make the dual screen or touch screen a necessity.

 

could've sworn i read a rumor somewhere that the console might include a phone clip to use your phone as a second screen. that could be interesting but also maybe a little less-accessible of an option?

 

That's a dumb idea, honestly.

 

i'm not inherently opposed to the idea of incorporating a phone in some capacity. i used to subscribe to NVIDIA GeForce NOW and had an Xbox-adjacent controller from Razer with a built-in phone clip and it was a reasonable experience. plus if people wanted to try any DS games while in docked mode (assuming that's a route they take and they don't just limit it to handheld mode), it would make sense to have something with touch screen controls for touch-heavy games. but i do wonder if it'd be easier to either have people turn the console sideways in handheld mode or only limit it to button-heavy games (because i don't know if they'd invest a ton of time remapping/reconfiguring touch-heavy games just to throw them on NSO). plus a phone clip on the handheld itself might add a bit too much weight. we'll see what they do.

Timothee Chalamet fits the style of Link and he has stated to play Nintendo growing up, but who knows. Based on the Mario movie, Nintendo likes the big names so hopefully they at least reach out to him for the role
