The trailer was not good haha, but the game is basically just a super fucking weird version of the sims, kind of?

There's crazy dreams, relationships, you can make music, do quizzes, have news reports and a bunch of other absolute nonsense.

 

I am not familiar with the Tomodachi franchise. That a big enough series to bookend a Direct?

 

not my speed, but i know people have been asking for a Switch entry since the console's launch, and i've seen disappointment after each Direct that a Switch version wasn't announced. so it's obviously a big deal for a handful of folks

 

There's more of us that want TP/WW though. So what the hell, Nintendo?

 

I love Gradius and would play it in SNES a ton as a kid. The original is already on Switch Online and I don't need a bunch of different versions of it though.

 

It’s cool for Nintendo to bring back rhythm heaven and tomodachi for those that play it. I’ve never played any of those games and have no interest in playing the new ones. But I think it’s fitting for the final direct dedicated to switch 1 being a little nostalgic.

 

Nobody who plays Rhythm Heaven doesn’t love it, they are perfect games, like Tetris level perfect

 

loved the first Rhythm Heaven for DS. glad it's getting some love

You realize it's not just multiple versions of one game though, right? I mean sure, that's part of it, but there are multiple actual games on the collection. Gradius is a series.

 

I understand. It's the type of game to me where I don't really need to play a sequel to that's all I'm saying

 

Nintendo fans when they ask for sequels to their dormant franchises (they're actually just asking for remakes of Zelda and a new Mario game) when the actually make new games for dormant franchises

 

Really hoping we get a new Kirby game or a robobot remaster for switch 2 close to launch. My son and I put 130 hours into forgotten land and it’s such a blast to play with him.

I was not expecting a new AI game, nor was I expecting it to have elements of Zero Escape. That alone made the Direct for me.

 

Im just happy they didnt announce the persona 4 remake that is rumored to happen, because persona fans have the greed they talk about in the bible

The direct was big on anime bullshit which means it was good for a lot of this thread but no good for me.

love when westerner fans say this like yeah the japanese company is gonna cater to their japanese audience first, so of course the games are going to have "anime bs/aesthetics" in them

 

Nintendo is 100% gonna split up Wind Waker and TP when they inevitably release them.

 

I understand it and Im not mad about it. Just not for me.
