I honestly wasn't that enthused by this Direct after the long drought. Most everything was stuff we already knew about or ports. My attention perked up at the new Xenoblade, OOT, Fire Emblem release date. Seeing KH4 was nice and a new Dragon Quest Monsters is cool. I guess I was hoping for more surprises.
still holding out hope for a Jedi series port one day (even though EA hasn't given a fuck about Nintendo in years)
we're getting StarFox, Rhythm Heaven, and Splatoon footage and nothing else, tbh. for a title as big as OOT, i doubt they'd show gameplay during a Treehouse
Absolutely pumped it’s real, brutal to know literally 0 details beyond it not being just an HD remaster
Crazy that the original was almost 30 years ago, one of the wilder parts of being a millennial gamer is that you grew up and aged with every major advancement in gaming and yet it just feels like yesterday
not a ton here i was excited about, but there were still a few things that looked fun. might have to dive into KH at some point, since i've only played a small amount of the first one like 20+ years ago. have a passing interest in Duskbloods, and would like to see more. Rhythm Heaven was always on my radar, as was StarFox, but i didn't feel like we needed a ton more info on either.
I think this Direct was pretty cool, a lot of stuff I’m not particularly interested in or really know what anime/series like most of those games are from but at least it’s getting solid support game wise.
wild that there was nothing MKW-related. that $80 price point could feel a bit better if they stepped up their DLC game, but the really haven't added much in the past year to sweeten that deal for casual players
Nintendo always dropping the ball on Mario Kart DLC other than when they added those bonus tracks to MK8 after so many years
