listening to NateTheHate's predictions podcast right now. some surprising third-party predictions so far, will be intriguing to see any of them show up.
Nice, Lil Gator Game is on sale for $10 in the eShop. Always wanted to play it but $20 seemed too steep for the short play time
if the OOT remake is done and they drop it tomorrow right before i have a 12+ hour flight to Japan, i will need to change my shorts for all of the right reasons
I usually go with RogersBase for Direct predictions. Right now here is what he is saying are high probabilities besides the obvious Starfox and Splatoon FE: Fortune's Weave extended look and release date More Duskbloods info Nintendo Switch 2 editions of Pikmin 4, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Zelda live action movie news Ocarina of Time Remake Teaser of next mainline Zelda with no gameplay Switch 2 Sports MKW DLC Pokopia DLC He also threw out some wildcards like SSBU Deluxe Edition for Switch 2, Luigi's Mansion 4, Skyward Sword HD Switch 2 Edition, and possibly announcing the future of Zelda IP at Universal theme parks.
RogersBase is always solid. i only checked out NateTheHate given his track record with Nintendo. first-party-wise, he and his cohost mentioned all of these as possibilities with a few exceptions. only Zelda news would be OOT remake (something they know Nintendo wants to get right given its legacy, so other Zelda-related news items might be less-pertinent right now, and could be saved for smaller announcements or specialized Directs). nothing on Smash, and no mention of Pokopia (although DLC makes a ton of sense). maybe even a small possibility of a new 2D Metroid. potential third-party predictions on NateTheHate's end include a potential Death Stranding port, Clair Obscur, RE2-4 (i.e. a port of the second Generations pack they put out in Japan), maybe more Persona news, maybe some Silent Hill and Metal Gear representation, maybe a Switch 2 Edition of Witcher 3 (might not be announced tomorrow, but they think it makes sense given Cyberpunk's performance), Kingdom Hearts, maybe even the Jedi series (given that Apex Legends runs on the same engine and it has a Switch 2 version).
I kinda do hope they do a Skyward Sword Switch 2 Edition because because the one for Switch 1's controls were broken as hell. I hope they fix it.
also remembering that Nintendo of America has a new president, Devon Pritchard, as of the beginning of this year. wondering if she'll make an appearance here.
Don't think I've ever been able to watch a Nintendo Direct live. Excited to have some free time at work to tune in for a little bit
