My brother wanted a hard copy of Tomadachi Life: living the dream so I went to four different stores. They were all sold out and finally a GameStop had like 3 copies left and I was able to get one. I did not expect this kind of hype.
I played the demo thinking I would only kind of enjoy it but ended up buying the full game immediately, it’s so funny and charming. Two straight guys just bonded over looksmaxxing and are now living together as the Beef Boys.
I’ve seen some of the like memes coming out of it and it’s honestly incredible but I didn’t realize the hype would go that crazy.
Tempted to scoop a 2DS and play through the Zelda exclusives. I have never played link between worlds and I have fond memories of phantom hourglass.
Very strategic rollout plans Former Nintendo employees confirm that Nintendo holds onto finished games until they find the right release date
That's why Wind Waker/Twilight Princess have supposedly been rumored for so long. They've apparently been ported to switch and done for years, Nintendo just won't release them. apparently
but also just would like to remind everyone that Nintendo is definitely starting to planet fake rumors to expose leakers so...
I don't think people here are going to get FFXIV on Switch 2 but I wanted to give a couple disclaimers based on what was shared at FFXIV's FanFest keynote: 1. The game runs at stable 30fps on Switch 2, if you want more you likely won't get more, not ideal for an online game 2. If you are already subbed to FFXIV and want to also play it on Switch 2, it requires an additional subscription due to bypassing Switch Online and Nintendo still wanting your money I think they should've waited until they could do better on those 2 things to launch on Switch 2 but eh whatever. If you wanna play it and Switch 2 is the only way you can then go for it, otherwise I'd avoid
The one exception would be a very cute, easy going, Pikmin movie. It doesn't need to be all references and flashy scenes. Just a stroll through the world with some Pikmin. But I also am fine with the games.
Same. For me a huge part of the story in a game is the interactive element where I am an active participant. Watching those things from the sidelines doesn't hold the same appeal. That said, I think Nintendo's goal (besides making piles of money) is possibly to reach a wider audience with these characters than the games otherwise would. I like movies, and I like Nintendo, but that doesn't mean the Nintendo movies are made with me in mind.
Imagine trying to reach a wider audience with Mario, who at one point was said to be more recognizable than Mickey Mouse.
