If you're talking about the decompiled version of OOT, I feel like it doesn't take a very powerful computer to run??
If you or Nintendo thinks that will stop fan games and piracy I have a bridge to sell you lol Definitely hoping for the latter
Still bums me out that Nintendo went after the guy who commissioned an online multiplayer mod for BOTW and intimidated him by copyright striking his typical Twitch playthrough uploads on YouTube one by one to the point where only one more strike would have his channel taken down lol. He was an idiot about it, but still. It was a really cool project and it was fully runnable.
Sure but "when outside actors are trying to do something with your legacy IP and suing won't work, either buy it out or just make your own version of what they're trying to do to undermine it" is a common corporate technique. I think Steve Jobs did it a lot, and I read Bob Iger is a big believer in it as well.
Yeah I think it could work on those who already own a Switch 2, but it's not gonna be a console seller unless it's a drastic remake with insanely good reviews TBH I just feel like the majority of people Nintendo would be worrying about there are people who... Don't own Nintendo consoles and just emulate shit haha
Yup! Dude's a bit of a dweeb, but he's one of the only Twitch streamers that I have watched multiple vids of. His ideas for Zelda playthroughs can be really funny and inventive, like beating BOTW and TOTK with just one stick, or beating BOTW and TOTK simultaneously with just one controller linked to both. He rolled credits on both within seconds of each other, pretty nuts.
Just beat TOTK with my kid. Man that was by far my favorite gaming experience I’ve ever had start to finish. Very sweet to have played it together. IMO there’s a whole game where they build Hyrule back to its glory like pre imprisoning war with a new format for dungeons on this engine. Story was incredible, the dungeon’s and characters were a bit repetitive. Loved sign guy and all the shrines. BOTW was just so innovative and surprising. It’s hard to imagine going back and playing it and not missing everything TOTK added. I’m psyched for whatever is next and can’t wait to play OOT remake. I’ve still never played twilight, Skyward Sword, Links Awakening, or Majora’s Mask. Going to take a break for a while but psyched to play through those.
Target is currently doing a deal that is buy 2 select Switch games, get $30 off. It includes a lot of first party games too. Mario, DK, Metroid, Pokopia, Legends ZA, Kirby, etc. Lasts until April 4th. It’s written as if it’s $30 total but it’s currently taking $30 off each so hurry before they fix it lol
Adding that I think you have to be a Target Circle member but I’m pretty sure you can sign up for free.
Both are available in the deal. It can be shipped or in-store pick up for physical. Which if you can do pick up it may be ideal because they may correct the deal at some point lol
I just learned the town next to me is finally opening a Costco where our mall used to be. Pretty sick, I feel like they always have really good tech deals, especially on gaming and TVs. The next closest Costco is probably like 70 minutes away. It'll be like 2 minutes away from a BJs. Feel like that will eat away their customer base quick haha. They're just a BJs with a better selection of goods imo.
In my 2nd area, Rocky Ridge, and just came across the museum. Jeeeeeeeesus christ this is an overwhelmingly huge game lol
I boxed that treasure chest Pokemon into a room there just so I could up the environment level so he wasnt homeless lol. It worked and helped me roll credits.
