I like that it has such a variety in its sound. I miss bands like them and SR-71 and Stroke 9 that kind of straddled the line between alternative rock, post-grunge, and pop-punk and not committing to any one thing.
Feel like it's gotta be pretty rare that I just found and brought home Entei from literally the first Dream Island I've been to in the game?
Birthday trip to Nintendo world for our kid. This is the cutest shit I’ve ever seen. Got the daily high score on Mario kart ride
Said it in the theme park thread when we went this past November but the Super Mario World they built at Epic in Orlando really is just the best. I mean I was loving how much my 6 year old loved it, but me personally too. My inner child was definitely beaming being in there. Pretty sure I coulda just sat in there all day and not explored any of the other parks in Epic lol
Currently only Europe and Japan but I'd imagine the US will get it soon Edit: it is now live in the US
think this was already touched on, but beginning with the new Yoshi game, digital copies of new Switch 2 games published by Nintendo will be cheaper than physical copies (i.e. new Yoshi is $70 physically and $60 digitally). from what i can tell, it's that digital prices are going down instead of physical prices going up. would like for them to be the same price, but this is at least better than nothing. wonder how it'll affect any Nintendo-published GKCs though. Seems completely reasonable for physical to be the pricier option. Should have been that way all along. As someone who only buys digital for convenience, I am happy with this.
Of course, lowering physical costs would have been great too because my Walmart always sold $60 Switch 1 games for $50. I've had a Walmart employee on Reddit in a Nintendo sub argue with me that there's no way that happens and I'm lying because pricing is a corporate decision and their stores never did that. I literally bought Pokemon Violet and Brilliant Diamond the week they came out for $50 from there. Why would I lie?
I'll still get physical for games I really admire such as the next 3D Mario or Zelda, but yeah this just makes it easier to buy the digital. The age of having a stack of physical games is surely missed. RIP.
It's so nice for travel. I get annoyed every time I need to grab a physical game from my carrying case.
...although I guess that's bullshit because if I am travelling, I have my case with me with all of my games inside. It's really just a pain for when I don't wanna get up from the couch lmao.
My switch and switch 2 case hold pockets for cartridges inside the hardcover. It was still convenient when going to a friends or traveling. Now I have to wait for express micro sd cards to go on sale so I don’t have to drop $200 for a 1TB card. For Switch 1 I would often re-sell games towards newer games. That’s nonexistent for switch 2
with the price of MicroSD Express cards still super high, i prefer physical when i can, only so that some of the assets are offloaded to the cartridge instead of the console itself. i have a 512 GB SanDisk card in the system right now, and don't know if i need to pick up the 1 TB card unless i plan on keeping every single digital game on the system (which i don't). otherwise, i have no aversion to digital. haven't bought any GKCs yet, but might consider it if something i want is cheaper than digital (every now and then, i see that Star Wars Outlaws has been relatively cheaper on card than the eShop - might pick it up one day).
Yeah, tbh, just grab a 512 GB Onn SD from Walmart for like $80 and call it a day. 768 GB is plenty if you're archiving stuff you don't often play. I haven't filled mine yet and I have all of my Switch 1 games installed, plus the new DK, Tony Hawk, Mario Kart World, Galaxy 2, GameCube NSO, Pokopia, and Pokemon A-Z. ...glad mine was only $65 when the Switch 2 dropped, though.
Kids should step into a library first tbh. If they want to play Nintendo they need to read at least 30 minutes a day
Same. Rolled credits 35 hours in yesterday. Really wanna try to get Skyline to level 6 to get generators tho combined with the wireless transmitters from Porygon I'm so bad at building tho. Started a house yesterday and then realized I wished I placed it like... 5 blocks back. I don't think the relocation kits work on custom builds, though. Also, it's BS that you can only register a house if it's 10x9 apparently? That's so small
