Was going to buy a physical copy of Pokopia but saw it's a game key card. What's the opinion on those?
mixed. i considered picking up the RE collection that's all GKCs of 7, 8, and Requiem since it's cool to have something "physical" to put on my bookshelf (even though i'm running out of room), but if it's just gonna download the eShop version directly to the console, i don't see any huge benefit other than that you can resell it if you don't like it or load it onto multiple Switch 2 consoles if you have them. you have to insert it into the system to play the digital game, and that sounds like a waste of space for my own purposes if i can just have another physical game loaded and open up a digital game by itself instead. i have seen instances where a GKC will be on sale for cheaper than its eShop version, and have considered picking one up, but i think i prefer the convenience of sticking with digital for games that aren't on cartridge. i guess the big merit for picking up Pokopia physically is that i believe it comes with a foldable zine-styled "booklet" you can put together, and that if you collect other Pokemon games physically, this would probably sit nicely next to them, but if you don't care about those things (or any pre-order bonuses from specific retailers), i don't see why a digital copy wouldn't suffice.
We scooped Pokopia. I probably wont play much its more for my wife and son to have a game together, but im psyched to check it out.
considering picking up Pokopia at some point, even though starting a new cozy-adjacent game is definitely a lower priority at the moment
My son was watching a YouTube video of someone play Pokopia, and we’re both sold on it. It truly looks very fun, relaxing, and just overall great. Crazy it’s the highest rated pokemon game ever.
Picked up Pokopia last night and then noticed Crash 4 is on sale for like 16 bucks in the eShop and grabbed that, too because I always wanted to give it a try lol. Haven't played either, just wanted to get them downloaded overnight. Gonna be a fun weekend.
Looking at the bottom of this image just next to Mario's bounce trail and screaming, crying, etc. WART LIVES, BABY!
Really feel like it’s time for Nintendo to put Wart in the starting lineup. Build on his character and how much he fucking hates vegetables. Gimme a new Mario game where Daisy is kidnapped by Wart. I want it to get weird.
How the hell is this man not in Mario Kart 8 and all the DLC? Or Smash Bros? Dumb. I mean, I guess it’s cool he’s in Link’s Awakening. But still, let this guy cook in the Mario universe.
Pokopia rules!! Got an hour or so in this am. I’ve never done a cozy game but my kid and wife were having the time of their lives.
Can't decide how I feel about Pokopia yet, I played for a solid 2.5 to 3 hours but I'm not very creative and feel like the place is becoming messy from all the habitats I've set up and then just throwing junk beside them to increase comfort level lol. It's a very cute and chill game, though. I already saw a Ho Oh though which was neat
Finished all the temples in TOTK including the bonus one. I loved 4 and there was one that was only okay. Very psyched on this game overall. It improves on BOTW in every way. I could see them doing a third game in this style that switches up the format with 6-7 temples not in the four regions that I would be really happy with. I still have a lot of stuff I want to do before I head to the final battle. Sad it’s winding down, but this game was and is incredible. Something that’s been kind of funny is being excited when there’s frame rate drops or funny textures as I’m gliding because it’s so rare on the switch 2 edition. It’s like an Easter egg lol.
