I would argue it’s actually about as far from Let’s Go as any traditional Pokemon game could be. It’s much more battle and story heavy whereas Let’s Go is much more catching-focused
i'm still a lot newer to Pokemon, but from what i've seen my partner play, Z-A might be a good option
If he likes Legends Arceus then Legnds Z-A would be a safe bet. Pokémon Let’s Go is also good for a younger age. A remake of Pokémon Yellow that came out in 2018 for switch 1
I just finished the “shadow ghost” part in requiem. Fun, but also eerie. If Grace doesn’t stop stumbling when she runs…come on now. Also just got to where Leon is fighting with a chainsaw.
Stumbled into the secret temple in TOTK. This game is relentlessly wonder inducing. This will forever be a core memory for my kid and I. Love it so much. We went out to lunch last weekend and got into an hour long conversation about mythology and morality. Dude was hammering me with questions about why Gannon wanted power and the difference between being selfish and selfless. Peak stuff.
I got the Requiem Deluxe Steelbook Edition. Game is so good so far. Eerie as all hell, best played with the lights off.
I told my brother I’m getting leaf green on my switch and this dude was like I don’t need no new versions I have these bad boys
Back in 2019 I kept my eyes peeled on the goodwill auctions. Was buying lots of gba games that included Pokemon games. I think I got one fake one of each but was eventually able to get authentic ones on the second attempts.
I think I’m realizing that I actually like Kanto and the original 151 more than I thought, and it’s actually the music that keeps Gen 1 from the level of Gen 2/3/4/5 for me. I know it’s classic but imo it doesn’t come close to touching any of those soundtracks
Blue Prince coming to Sw2tch, cool! Denshattack also looks cool. but i wanna know more abt that game that was at the end of the sizzle reel! looked a bit like Patapon, rhythm type game?
my partner loved the first game, but is still hesitant about the switch to 3D graphics since the 2D style was quite charming. but honestly, after seeing the gameplay, it doesn't feel that different. more similar to the OG than i was expecting.
we caved and finally picked up Mario Kart World. having a great time so far (even if i agree with the criticisms on the lack of content at the moment)
