I suppose, but if someone doesn’t have that game, but subscribes to NSO then they’ll be jumping straight to Prime 2 lol
7 games available at launch, 9 more planned for later this year (including two cancelled games). i'd low-key like to try this, but i don't want to undock my Switch 2 if possible. i wish they'd allow for both handheld and TV modes, with the latter just downconverted to 2D.
I still remember briefly playing that the summer it came out when my friend bought it. The red and black visuals strained my eyes.
hence why TV mode might be better than staring directly at the Switch screen placed several inches from your eyes
Can you really not play in TV mode? Also thank fucking Christ you can change the game color to something other than red. Weird ass choice to not launch with Mario Tennis or Mario Clash, but super cool to include Mansion Of Innsmouth and super excited about the previously unreleased games. Very surprised that they're not including Bound High.
i remember when they announced it in that Direct, they said you'd either need the plastic or cardboard accessory to play, so i've always assumed that's the case. but i'd love to be proven wrong and that we could still play it while docked.
This is super cool for collectors or people who had this when it launched. I am very not interested in the virtual boy specifically, but it gives me high hopes we will get DS and 3DS in the switch 2 life cycle. The second screen clamshell rumors seem completely ridiculous on switch 2, but some meaningful way to play DS games on switch 2 would be amazing. Im not involved in emulation and would gladly pay the online subscription or purchase relreleases if they became available at a fair price. I haven’t played handheld a ton, but id love to get into some retro games. Handheld seems like a perfect format to play them.
I remember my family renting the Virtual Boy from Blockbuster and had to put a certain amount down as insurance or something. I think $100? Crazy times.
I rented a Game Genie for Nintendo from Blockbuster and could never figure out how to use it. Also still mad about that.
kinda forgot about the idea of renting consoles and equipment from Blockbuster back in the day. only really remember movies and games.
loved ultimate chicken horse and this is just that but turned up a notch. had a great time with some friends over the weekend, even those that don’t normally play games.
