i took a long break from gaming last year up until we got the Switch 2, so my numbers are low. but i played TOTK the most. need to beat it here soon, but we're just about done with Mario Odyssey, and our next plan is to each pick up one of the games we got for Christmas (Cyberpunk for me, High On Life for him) and go through them simultaneously, hopping in to try each one out as needed.
I've had a Switch since launch and picked up a Switch 2 for the family for Christmas, and I've yet to play Stardew Valley. I may need to change that.
My progress on Pokemon Scarlet so far: 5 Gyms, 3 Titans, and 3 Team Star Crews. I am kinda at a plateau where I need to grind it out a lot before continuing on.
Target circle has a $30 off $100 purchase of Nintendo games. I pre-ordered the Resident Evil Generation pack for Switch 2 ($90 value) and re-bought BOTW on Switch 1 (my original copy was stolen... long story) because it was on sale for $42. I believe the Switch 2 upgrade pack is free, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm happy with this deal.
I'm not a huge LEGO guy, but these Nintendo sets have been so awesome. Probably going to grab this one
I got a Switch 2 and all these games for it, but now I find myself just playing Switch 1 games to try to get though my backlog before I finish more Switch 2 stuff. Close to finishing Pokemon Scarlet. Might try to finish Pikmin 4 next.
i'm making a folder for my various consoles (mostly the Switch & PS5) just of games i've started (& have at least played for a while) and haven't finished trying to finish up Sea of Stars on Switch and DMC5 on PS5 currently
Biggest thing keeping me from buying a Switch 2 is my backlog on Switch 1. Honestly even my current most anticipated game of THIS year is launching cross-gen (MIO Memories in Orbit). So I still have no real need to upgrade, and probably won’t until it has an exclusive Zelda or Pokemon game
Starting to get a feel for BOTW. My first few hours I was debating if it was for me as I was terrible and kept dying. Now just got to the stable and am starting to “get” it
Yeah BOTW is pretty hard in the beginning. Especially after you leave the Great Plateau. It gets easier. Just do as many shrines as possible as soon as you can.
You just need to accept that it's okay to run away from enemies in the beginning. Part of the charm is exploration, after all. That's what makes it so fun.
Yeah I stumbled on a big ass fucking rock guy and realized there was no way I was gonna defeat them haha
You can beat those in the beginning you just need to learn how. You hit it's black rock thing with arrow or bomb to make it fall. Then climb on it's back and keep striking the black rock until it dies.
