they already did it once back on the 3DS with the GB/GBC games, if there's any franchise that could "get away with it" (read: the fans will complain but still buy them all anyway), it's Pokémon. I would not be surprised at all to see them dropped for like $8 each or something (they were apparently $10 each on the 3DS)
Give me New Mario Paint. I also wouldn't be surprised if they include mouse controls for Fire Emblem.
You're right that there's precedent, but they didn't have the current infrastructure back then, and ever since Nintendo Online, any game in their history that can be on the new service has made it there eventually.
I could see it going either way for sure. I'd definitely prefer them to just be on Online for free, or as a compilation (maybe per Gen or something?), but I just have this feeling that they'll do some "yeah so we had to edit like 3 lines of code to make them work with Pokémon Home so uhhhh give us $10 per game please cheers" type nonsense.
Alright about 10 or 12 hours into TOTK I am completely enthralled. Nothing will replace the sheer awe and wonder the first play through of BOTW brought, but it is enough years away that this feels really exciting and adventurous. Just rode the fire dragon into the depths and grabbed some scales. Truly magic. Ascend is such a nice upgrade. I thought I wouldn’t like all the fusing, but figuring out what enhancements work and doing a proper build is pretty fun.
I think about Wii Punchout quite a bit. Not interested digging the Wii out of the closet and hooking it up though. Don't want to revisit the Wii display resolution and find batteries for my controllers and all that shit. God, I just wish Nintendo would remake/port this to switch for me.
i think i might actually drop MP4. i feel like i'm only still playing it out of obligation, rather than genuine enjoyment really bummed, but i'm just not feeling the game. nothing gameplay or visual-wise has wowed me, i rarely have moments where i'm legit enjoying myself luckily i have probably a good dozen new Switch games i bought that need finishing i still need to force myself to (attempt to) finish Silksong too...
its a bummer because i LOVE Metroid i really like Prime (never got to play 2 or 3) but the 2D ones i fuckin love Fusion, Zero Mission, and Dread are all fucking fantastic
Ngl I love those colors. Still nuts were paying $100 for joycons. My pro controller 2 was like $70 at Costco
I will finish it, I am kind of on a mission to revisit games I missed or didnt have the attention span to finish as a kid. The vibes and graphics are awesome, it’s just a bit boring for me and shooters in general of any kind bore me. I got probably a quarter of the way through. Dread looks really fun, I would give that a try at some point.
I got stuck on at a part on MP Remastered where you go through a long ass time without a save state and I am fucked and keep dying because I didn't collect enough extra energy tanks before then. Around where you get the Power Bomb. At one point I actually got the power bomb from the maze thing and then died soon after and had to start over again.
Wife and I have already 3 starred almost all the courses in MKW. Can't believe there isn't a 200cc. This one takes way less skills than MK8.
