I am having a blast. Just beat all the 50cc races and unlocked the special cup. Gonna call it quits for tonight. My copy of DK Bananza comes tomorrow.
Switch 2 battery runs out kinda faster than Switch 1. Also it runs kinda hot on the dock. Switch 1 never did that.
Switch 2 battery life is atrocious haha. I totally love mine, but I'm lucky if I get more than two and a half hours
we don't undock ours, tbh. the only reason i haven't picked up a case or screen protector. in fact, i think the only time i've removed it from the dock was to add the microSD Express card. hopefully that doesn't do anything to the battery, but i guess it beats trying handheld and it running out quicker
Yeah mine hasn't left the dock in months Well, other than when I move it between docks in my living room and bedroom
I play it a lot with my kid and I love it. The grinding and wall riding are such fun addition. Knock out is great and free roam is a lot of fun. I’m sure they will have many track updates in the coming years too. I have never played 8, but we have been totally enamored since August.
used to do this quite a bit when i still lived by myself. we have one of our old Switch 1 docks attached to the TV in our bedroom for more casual stuff (the other is on my desk for whenever we do online co-op in Minecraft with our friends), but nowadays i just head to the living room.
Need to do a picture of my little stand and iPad rig in bed lol. I love it. My wife has a proper little gaming station at her work from home spot, I usually play in bed with an iPad floor stand like a foot from my face.
I played the Switch 1 almost exclusively in handheld outside of games like BOTW and Odyssey. I’ve been playing the Switch 2 docked a bit more since I really like being able to map actions to the GL/GR buttons on the pro controller but it’s still like 70% handheld. Grips were essential for the Switch 2 since my hands were cramping too much without them.
I noticed that soon after getting it. Luckily, I never take it out of my home and I typically don’t spend at least 2 hours on it in one sitting.
