It’s a time loop game where you are exploring a whole galaxy and learning about the ancient race that lived there before you as you go. As you learn more about them and how their tech works you can figure out how to explore more of the planets, etc. There’s no combat, only a goal to make it to the center of the galaxy eventually.
An all time great. I can’t imagine there will ever be a time I meet someone who plays narrative video games where I don’t ask if they’ve played it.
Got prime remastered today. Took a minute to find a copy in store. Played through the first level and I get the hype around the isolation and mystery. Vibes are through the roof and the soundtrack is awesome. It’s funny there’s literally 0 dialogue so far. it occurred to me that outside of the Mario games I’m playing with my kid the only games I’ve played for myself on switch two are GameCube games. Going to try to grind through the triforce shards on windwaker almost done. Once I finish windwaker it’s onto my first run through of tears.
Damn I don't remember if I got the regular edition or the anniversary edition. It comes with all the expansions so I am assuming it's anniversary. I don't want yet another upgrade to buy when I get a Switch 2.
Oh my goodness started the triforce chart / shard quest. It took 2-3 hours to get the first two charts. It is actually really fun, but there’s no way kids 20 years ago were able to figure this out without some extensive walk through’s. Sounds like the HD remaster condensed it. I went from really annoyed to enjoying the process. Did Savage Labyrinth & the ghost ship last night. I get the gripes about a giant fetch quest in the back third of the game, but once I settled into this I am having a blast. It is fun to revisit a bunch of the the spots with all of the items and the labyrinth was genuinely a blast. Good reminder to not do too much reading online about games and just experience it for myself. Also I have said this before, but I am almost exclusively using my m4 iPad Pro to play docked and the visuals specifically for the cell shaded art style look so good.
It's a Wario game by Treasure, the company that made Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Headdy, Mischief Makers, Ikaruga, Bangai-O, and other completely awesome titles.
I'll be honest, I've never even heard of any of those haha but I'm very curious to try it out! Only Wario game I've ever played was Smooth Moves on Wii
Smooth Moves is still my favorite WarioWare game. It was so funny and used the Wiimote in creative ways.
