Me but with switching to the OLED. I had 180 hours in that island lol.

I have a better start with my new island than I remembered so I'll def get back into it with the Switch 2 update

 

Hell yeah, that means you're ready for the Switch 2 edition!

 

My wife has 2,505 hours in ACNH and still plays it daily - She's beyond stoked for this

She also has another 800+ hours on my Switch account for her "second island"

 

How does she have that many hours? What does she do?

She just… plays. Rebuilds her island decently often. I mean she’s played it almost everyday since it came out. Her longevity with it is very impressive.

 

Why are more people not getting out the pitchforks at this erroneous statement?

 

That's what I'm thinking, too. I was holding out hope that their prolonged silence on anything AC meant a new title was coming, but no.

I have 950 hours, but I haven't played since the last update dropped. I'm not looking forward to my villagers shaming me when I log back in again.

 

Which one do you think holds up too? Like in it’s original form, no remakes

The Banjo games, Rayman 2, the Spyro games, the Crash games, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing...

Spyro and Banjo don’t hold up for me but the others listed do for sure

Especially Rayman 2

 

Doesn't count my ass, it's a collectathon disguised as a racer, it counts.

 

Collectathon is pretty different than platformer given the platform aspect

I'm not going to argue with you over whether a game filled with exploration and collecting trinkets should be listed in the same breath as other games that are filled with exploration and collecting trinkets. The point is that old games are still good games and are deserving of love.

 

I’ll give you Rayman 2, that’s a good one. Never personally was a fan of Rare platformers. Crash I think was always terrible. Spyro is fine I guess.

MAN, imagine if they made a new Perfect Dark..... anyway

 

Fuck Microsoft, but aside from that is the Perfect Dark brand really even worth reviving? It's been 20 years(!) since the last game, and I'm just not sure what it would offer in 2025.

 

It got cancelled for a reason probably

 

Well sure, Microsoft needed more money to fund genocide.

 

Wasn’t another studio in talks to try to pick up the cancelled perfect dark? Take two, I think.
