my partner officially impulse purchased a Switch 2 (both to celebrate whatever outcome for the interview he just completed for an assistant professor position, and to prepare for Z-A). picking it up tomorrow.
preemptively, for those with a Switch 2 and a TCL TV, did you have any trouble calibrating HDR? i know it's a pain in the ass if your TV doesn't support HGIG (which my QM7K does), but i've heard TCL's brightness algorithm makes things deceptively brighter than they need to be, to the point where HDR calibration on the console can be thrown off a tiny bit.
alright, does anyone have good or bad experiences with Onn's MicroSD Express cards? we got the console set up last night, and not even all of our games are loaded on and we've already eaten up half of the storage capacity. can't justify dropping a ton of money on a 1 TB card, but saw Onn had a 512 GB for around $60 at Walmart. it's enticing, but i see it also has slower read/write speeds than the other cards (albeit not by a ton). if not, any leads on reasonably priced MicroSD Express cards?
Fwiw the speeds really don't matter on express cards in the Switch 2, I don't think it actually even reads at the full speeds those cards have to offer iirc. The Onn cards are still much faster than an official Nintendo game cartridge
damn, i just looked again and the 512 GB card is going for $85 now. wish it was $67 again because i'd absolutely jump on that.
Yeah I noticed that last week, think I mentioned a couple pages back but I just assumed it went back down when you mentioned it lol
Man, glad I jumped on things right on launch, prices of everything are just getting insane. Also still mad I paid $120 on a dock for my bedroom lol but I value the laziness of only having to move my console between rooms
target is doing mass clearance on all video games and stuff and I found the Mario and Luigi brother ship game for my brother for like $15

installed the upgrade packs for BOTW and TOTK and they run buttery smooth (even though i never had a problem with them on my Switch 1). didn't realize i hadn't touched TOTK in a year and still have some bosses to beat, so i made my way through the lava dungeon last night.
Oh man it's amazing how much better those games run on Switch 2. No issues in an entire playthrough of BOTW. I still need to do the thunder and spirit temples in TOTK though, and Ganon. Haven't played in well over a year.
I bought the switch 2 upgrade but haven’t touched it because of DK, Mario Kart, and Hades. And I probably Won’t any time soon because of Pokémon and Ghost of Yotei
Cannot wait to see what insane amount of content Sakurai has just not told us about yet. I'm hoping for a story mode
I got all of the bananas in Bananza! I already had the fossils, but I need 4 discs for 100% completion.
