Resident Evil 9 dropping on switch 2 day 1 is a good grab. Haven’t had a RE mainline game drop day 1 on a Nintendo console since RE4
The things that were good in this Direct were incredible and the things that were bad were so god awful Overall I always expect nothing so I'm happy but some of the things were like "you have GOT to be kidding me"
Couldn't watch because I'm at work but I read the announcements and I'm giggling like a fucking madman at Virtual Boy, some real sicko shit.
great Direct I reckon, absolutely insane to do a Virtual Boy rerelease though, Nintendo really just do whatever they want and it's so beast
I forgot the Mario movie existed, so I got really excited for about 10 seconds when the trailer started. I'm happy we finally got a Metroid release date, but disappointed there wasn't even a mention of anything Animal Crossing yet again.
I'll die on the hill that the Virtual Boy thing, while I get what they're going for, is TERRIBLE. "Buy this add-on for a thing you need a subscription for that will also not all be immediately available" is madness. Like ONE of those things needs to give Mario Galaxy movie is also bad, we don't really need more of that (yes I have kids, yes they liked the first one and I had a good time, no I don't need more). RE9 looks bad to me on Switch at the very least Everything else was neutral or good or great to me
Yeah this direct was okay. I liked the Mario news and Galaxy stuff. DK Bananza DLC. And RE9 being an actual game and not cloud based is good. With Galaxy 2 in October I’ll probably skip legends Z-A and then get Metroid prime 4 in December and RE9 in Feb.
Feels like kinda a shitty direct in that I have almost no interest in anything they saved for the second half, but a really solid amount of stuff I'm at least interested in pending reviews: Yoshi, Mario Tennis, Wonder expansion, DK DLC, Prime 4. I really don't have a shortage of stuff to play any time soon, so I can't be disappointed in anything other than no MKW DLC which feels like the no brainerest no brainer.
RE looks awful on switch 2 and cannot imagine playing those games on it haha enjoyed the direct, some really fun stuff the virtual boy thing is one of those dumbass weird Nintendo decisions but it is what it is
You guys just do not understand how awesome Virtual Boy is, but I have faith that one day you'll learn.
If they'd put it all out at once I'd be a lot more forgiving of the idea. If they'd make them accessible without the online cost I'd be more forgiving of the idea. All those combined things on top of a hardware cost are what gets me
I don’t want to play anything that requires a headset so I’ll just experience it from what others say about it lol
VB definitely should be the headset with all the games included no argument from me there. Above average level of $$ milking in this one
I don't really see not dropping all 14 games at once as a big deal especially since most people won't give a shit about this anyway. As for the cost, I guess I get it, certainly no one is buying Expansion Pass for the Virtual Boy, so it might as well be free from that perspective, but I have Expansion Pass anyway for N64, GBA, and GameCube, so it makes no difference to me.
Yeah like it's clearly not for me in the first place so it doesn't REALLY matter to me, I just think the business practice of it could be better and they could give more to the people who are getting it and just have it all available at once when you get it
