Beating Bananza gave me the itch to finally play through DK64, so I'm looking forward to it landing on NSO.

 

1/3 of the way to having that rumor being true...

 

Nintendo Dirext should be next as well so maybe they’ll be announced then

 

Yes kids, this was video game marketing in the late 90s

 

but Nintendo is a family company!!!!

 

I had never heard of this game until now

 

I only know the game because I had a subscription to Nintendo Power at the time

 

I know the game because I rented games from Blockbuster regularly and owned gaming magazines.

It's alright for a Descent clone.

 

So I've been playing Kirby in bits and pieces. Finished the first world and opened up the titular Star-Crossed World and played the first of those levels and it's really neat how they change up the affected levels to make them fresh. Also just loving the game in general, so fun and finding the secrets is just a joy. Nintendo really is just the best at crystallizing the fundamental joys of gaming. And the music in the first Star-Crossed World level, they cooked.

 

My son and I put 150 hours in that game and are playing star crossed world now. So fun lol.

 

playing a lot more in handheld mode with silksong out now and ordered one of these. will report back.

Ohhh please do. That looks awesome and I've been thinking about getting something like that.

 

So... I couldn't beat the first boss in the first 5-10 minutes of Silksong and gave up lol

I'm so bad at 2D games, idk what's wrong with me

Yeah I don't have either of those things lol

Although I can do some Mario platforming fine. Idk!

 

Idk it’s really just pattern recognition. There really is very little skill involved past repetition until you can execute.

 

Star Wars outlaws runs well on switch 2 and im enjoying it

 

That game is a banger.

 

If I see it on sale in the future I’ll scoop. Not my style of game, but I’ll bite for anything Star Wars. When are fallen order and survivor coming? I want to play survivor so bad.

 

I was between this and the updated satisfye zengrip that I gad for the first switch.

I like the design of this one and the grip options. the ability to magsafe a battery to the back also doesn’t sound terrible.

 

I mean Silksong is hard af

 

60 minutes. That’s probably the longest direct they’ve had dedicated to mostly games (they’ll probably show the Super Mario World film)
