Unless you skip that part during initial set up because apparently it only gives you the ability to transfer all your stuff in the beginning lol. But yeah I was really impressed how quickly and smoothly transferring my stuff over went. And pretty cool you can just pop your old SD in to at least carry over your screenshots and stuff
I bought echoes of wisdom the day it came out but just started playing it two days ago. What a great little Zelda game this has been so far. Kinda bummed I waited so long to give it a shot.
for some reason it gives me nostalgia vibes from og links awakening in the mid 90s more so than the remake from a few years ago. can't explain it because the art style is so clearly based on the new one, but there's something about whisping my way through every piece of grass
Echoes of Wisdom looks great. I really like the art direction it shares with Link's Awakening. Oracle remakes in that same visual would be so good. Also, Nintendo, gives us that direct. We all know you have a few games coming out in just a couple months with no release dates yet.
I just checked game stops website and says it has them in stock at my two nearest stores… really tempted right now.
Bought Madden 26 on switch 2. Waiting for it to download Edit: it doesn’t run exactly smooth. The visuals also have an obvious downgrade from higher end consoles, but having a Madden that looks this good on a handheld with all the features is nice
I finished Fantasy Life i. Amazing game. Lots to do after the credits for those who care. Next game is probably this one: Comes out soon and looks amazing.
Scooped a switch 2 a couple of weeks ago. I am working my way through Wind Waker. Got a capture card and I’ve been playing on my iPad Pro. It looks immaculate. I got the switch super early on and did a full play through of BOTW. Definitely going to do Tears when it gets a bit colder. Any recs on games I missed? My kid loves Pokémon, we’re starting let’s go this weekend.
Just bought a switch 1st gen used from friends who upgraded to the 2 and have only played BOTW so far, but having a blast! I'm going to get a pokemon game or my 9 year-old. He's mostly only played GBA poke on, so not sure which one to get for the switch...
For Pokemon, your kid might like Scarlett or Violet. Performance was unbearably bad on Switch 1, but majorly improved on Switch 2. It's kind of a traditional Pokemon game but in a much larger open world format with new challenges in addition to your standard 8 gyms. People also love Pokemon Legends Arceus. I didn't love how much dialogue it had, but it's a cute game if your kid wants to collect Pokemon. Sword and Shield are the most similar to the GBA games, but very hand-holdy. There is also a Pearl and Diamond remake for Switch. Some of my favorite games are: Mario Odyssey DK Bananza Luigi's Mansion 3 BOTW and TOTK Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Kart World Animal Crossing New Horizons Mario 3D World Tony Hawk 3+4 HD plays well and looks great on Switch 2 if you're looking for some nostalgia, too
Downloaded the Nintendo music app expecting to see donkey Kong bananza and it’s not on there. Seems dumb.
the bigger crime is not having ANY of the xenoblade soundtracks available, (or at least last time I checked they werent)
