What Moose said. It's probably either hike up the Switch or hike up the Switch 2. Which is the shittier look?
Episode 936: Jon Lindemann - In the Fire 00:50 reality about key cards. They always have the most grounded talks because they don’t need to make money of punditry and therefore don’t need to jump on the narrative of the week.
Nintendo needs to push the brakes on company greed. Inflation or not, there is no reason to raise the prices for 8 year old hardware.
I assume it’s the tariffs more than inflation. Unless you’re saying Tariffs Are causing the inflation (which is def one way to look at it)
Yeah, I honestly do not blame Nintendo in this instance and again, they could very easily raise the price on the Switch 2 instead (and still might). It's not greed, it's like people forget we as a country are affecting the rest of the fucking world with our nonsense.
Yeah no company is just eating it. I work for a distributor and our manufacturers increased prices so we then increased prices to our customers who then increase the price to us.
I don’t think it’s wrong to call out its A) tariffs and B) greed on Nintendo’s part. They’re both true.
It's either that, or increasing the price of the Switch 2, which would hurt adoption of their newest console when people are already complaining about the cost of it as-is. It (unfortunately) makes sense with the tariffs
I will say, at a $50 difference, I now see no good incentive for buying a Switch OLED over Switch 2 now haha. Might help adoption there.
Too many factors that I wouldn’t know unless I’m working at Nintendo to answer that, but a controller being nearly $100 is not the way for a healthy future. People are going to be priced out really fast if the increase of prices keep going up the rate they are the last few months.
I've got a solution that will solve a lot of problems for everyone, although I suppose it would create some very pressing immediate problems for some people, but they won't have to worry about it for long.
Finished the story for DK Bananza this evening. King K Rool being the final villain was such a nice surprise. Didn’t see that leaked anywhere so when it happened I was locked in. Overall it was a great game. Don’t think I’ll try to 100% it, but it was a solid 9/10 for me. Had a very strong “rare DK era” feel to it which I appreciated.
