I've been increasing my sonar and wearing gear that spawns more treasure chests

 

I didn't even know there was a counter to show how many total bananas there are in an area

I immediately ran to see if it was Lanky Kong but it is NOT Lanky Kong and in doing so I learned who it is

 

I just realized this and tried it, however, I still can’t figure out how to get the banana #38 lol

I see where it is just can’t figure out how to get up there

I love Donkey Kong. I love Nintendo. Im glad to be alive.

 

This game is amplifying all my worst tendencies in games - getting side tracked from the main objective, leaving no stone unturned in case of secrets…I spent something like 40 minutes yesterday just destroying an entire cliffside in case something was there.

Nintendo, what have you done.

 

I’ve stared focusing on the storyline a bit more. The amount of collectibles and smashing everything can be a bit overwhelming after a while.

 

Yeah I'm not smashing nearly as much at this point

 

Wonder if there will be a difficulty spike at the end because it is not hard lol

I was up at 3am last night on my phone when I got a Walmart ad for the the Switch 2. I checked, it was in stock, and available to deliver same day. Today at noon, I watched on the Walmart app as the driver made their way to my house so I was able to walk out my door at the very second they pulled up. Amazing tracking service. I wish Amazon was as detailed on their app so I never had to worry about packages like this.

I have a few times now. They basically play as Paulina and can throw and destroy the environment I don’t think I’d consider it full fledged co op but it’s pretty fun only gripe we had was you don’t get separate camera control

 

Thanks, that's really helpful. My girlfriend and I are wanting to play both separately and together, so not sure how we'll decide whose is Paulina/ player 2, but useful to know!

 

Game isn’t hard but it’s even easier with someone as Paulina because she wrecks shit at a distance

 

I think I’ve died maybe once which is par for the Nintendo course but I imagine we’ll be eating our words in the post-game

Maybe the most pure joy I’ve had playing a game since…Odyssey I guess lol. Just a non-stop barrage of jaw dropping moments and smiles so far

 

Canyon layer is gorgeous wtf

 

I felt a turning point searching for missing bananas in the first main level….like at some point it felt like aimlessly tearing my house apart to find a set of lost keys and it started being rage inducing lol

 

Just got through the Freezer Layer

great game

Went back and cleared the first three layers and I’m just smashing everything looking for maps

 

Trying to do that without upgrades seems legit impossible lol but I commend you!

Decided to give myself some grace not finding every banana and go completionist after the credits, feel like it’ll be way easier

 

I'm in the freezer layer. Got a little bummed thinking that I'm probably almost through the game - googled it and I'm not even halfway through lol. Fuck yeah. This game is so much fun. I think my only criticism is how easy and fast the boss battles are. Like, some of them legitimately take 30 seconds at most

 

Also, gotta say, being on vacation without a dock right now and I am so happy how much more enjoyable handheld mode is with this bigger screen. It's such a non issue, and playing with detached joy cons is so much more comfortable than the original Switch.

I also keep seeing people say you need a power bank that's at least 30W to charge while playing, and they're wrong. I am using a 15W Anker PD power bank and it actively charges while I am playing
