There’s almost too much to smash hahaha I missed a banana and smashed through the floor and had to climb back up lol
This is the a-team, so they make Mario. I assume it’s possible that it is big enough that different subteams have been working on both to a certain extent.
1. The game is pure joy and should have been the launch title; the narrative around switch 2 would have been much different 2. for a game 8 years out from Odyssey, there should probably a bigger graphical leap. Perhaps that energy went had to go into destructible environments and ensuring it runs smoothly.
So far the only frame drops I've seen is a slight stutter when the camera moves after talking to an NPC. I can't believe people were making such a big deal out of this lol this game performs great
Played some of the game last night. For the first 10-15 minutes I was just destroying everything and had to tell myself to stop and actually progress through the story.
I love the way the map opens and closes to/from the spot you’re at. I can’t explain it well, but it’s satisfying.
If a graphics resolution sacrifice was at the expense of destroying every single thing in my screen, I prefer that. Just love this game so far. I will say driving around MKW the graphics and resolution are noticeably crisp and nice, so I’m hopeful for future Switch 2 titles
1. Not attacking you, but this narrative is some people on the internet pretending there is a narrative. It is literally the fastest selling console of all time, and the fact that they launched with their biggest franchise is a big reason behind that. 2. I think one problem there is that Odyssey is just so insanely good looking. It holds up so well.
A little anxiety inducing smashing through everything unground and not realizing youre about to yeet yourself off a cliff tho
I can't tell if bananas become easier to find later on in the game or if I was just really bad at finding them in the beginning
Sonar makes finding them dramatically easier, and the sonar feature is not explained really well at all that I recall.
I’m still on the lagoon level trying to get all bananas and I have 39/40 and it’s driving me NUTS because I know where the banana is but I might have destroyed too much of the environment to get it lol
If you just smash the crap out of everything eventually you get treasure chests with maps that indicate where the bananas are. I’m sure increasing your sonar, though, will make it way easier lol
