so the micro sd cards that work on Switch 2 is the Express ones, right? i saw there's an "extreme" one, but i don't recall if that's compatible at all i really need a new sd card, i can't even completely transfer all my games/data to the new Switch- there's not enough space
Yeah as Cryates said, it needs to be Express. The Onn ones sold at Walmart are actually pretty reasonably priced compared to the competition, I got my 512 GB one for like $67 I think
Had no intention of picking one up for a long while, but I had a stack of games I was planning to get rid of and came across a bunch of older consoles in my basement while cleaning out/re-organizing that were like, just barely worth selling on eBay versus trading in to GameStop. Then my local store got a few Switch 2s in the other day and I took the easy way out. $21 out the door for the MKW bundle. MKW looks incredible. I was just smiling as I played it on my TV in HDR. Nintendo first party titles are perfect for HDR implementation and it’s great to see it finally realized. Can’t wait to finally dive into Tears of the Kingdom with the upgrade. Now I’ve gotta decide if I want to pay full price for NSO+Expansion or just pay a fraction to join someone else’s “family.”
Welp, I decided to open up the pro controller I had ordered and unlucky for me it has a broken A button out of the box. I don’t think I have ever had this happen. I packed it back up and hopefully Walmart won’t be too difficult about the return!
Imagine a first person exploration heavy Zelda game with progression gated by unlocking abilities. It is much more about movement, puzzle solving, using your abilities at the right time, and navigating the world than aiming your gun. Also, pretty epic boss battles. And you can turn into a ball.
I’ve been getting 3rd a handful of times but I’m finding that that final stretch you have to be beyond perfect to have a chance at winning
Also, having way more fun and luck with knockout tour online than vs - really struggling to place top half in standard races whereas I’m almost always making it far in knockout.
In the final stretch I always feel like it doesn’t come down to items anymore but to the others being just a little faster than me. Maybe it’s a vehicle thing, but I can’t to the final stretch without a vehicle that prioritises acceleration over speed.
I've only played a handful of knockout tours but so far I've either been knocked out at the first checkpoint or I've come in 1st.
For those that have or have used both, is the new Pro controller a really significant upgrade? I have the original and like it and just figured I’d continue to use it, but I keep hearing great things about the new one.
I prefer the grip texture of the original. The new Pro is the same hard plastic throughout. It did feel nice in the hand, and the rumble felt better. The added back panel buttons take some time to get used to. Overall, if they would patch the original to be able to turn on the system from sleep mode I probably would just keep that until finding a decent sale on the new one.
Not significant, no. The buttons are significantly quieter, though, as well as the joysticks. Probably the best feeling sticks I've used, but it's not like... A huge difference? I do like that the + and - buttons are more raised like actual buttons instead of kind of sunken into the controller, and the back paddles are very useful. Otherwise, it's the same, just with the texture of the Switch 2 joy cons (which I do prefer) and the ability to turn the console on with it
whats a good/underrated gamecube game? (not just the top 5, you know the ones) i'm trying to remember various games i never got to try back in the day to download on dolphin
I don't know how it holds up but I liked Tak and the Power of Juju as a kid lol Then there's Luigi's Mansion and Windwaker but I'm guessing you're including those in the top 5?
