Just finished Grand Prix! Special Cup was great, glad I unlocked it. I thought that Acorn Heights and Rainbow Road were the best tracks in the game.

Over all, fun game. Idk if I'm crazy, but I did feel like a lot of the tracks weren't overly creative or inventive. Lots of wide, straight, flat roads with some small curves and minor obstacles, but very few like Acorn Heights. Mario Kart 8 felt like it had more distinct, well-designed tracks imo

Looking forward to trying more modes!

In battle mode in Mario Kart 8 really comes in handy in Shine Thief.

I also felt this way about a lot of the tracks. Some big boring spaces.

At the same time , the constant twisting and flipping was a little annoying in 8 too haha

 

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope eveything ends up ok with them

 

I also feel like they kind of babied the steering? It's way easier to accidentally fall off a track in previous Mario Kart games if you make a mistake. MKW feels more forgiving
