Btw, can confirm the Onn express card works well. Just moved some switch 1 games over to it to clear up my internal storage, and Mario Kart 8 launches faster than it did on my original Switch.

Re: third party support

Basically nothing was announced at SGF, so…

 

I've seen people online upset about the Kamek system of unlocking characters but honestly, I'm fine with it and it will keep me playing. I don't want to unlock everything immediately

 

I just want to unlock Cataquack and haven't gotten him yet

 

lol, apparently the speedrun record for Pokemon S/V has dropped by 40 mins since the Switch 2 update.

 

I really wanna play Violet again after I get my fill of Mario Kart.


Speaking of I did all the Grand Prix races first (rainbow road absolutely rips) and have finally tried knockout mode. I fucking love it

 

Apparently there is a common issue where the Switch 2 battery drains quickly but they have fix to recalibrate it if anyone has it happen to them.

MKW Rainbow Road kind of feels like a medley course of sorts? Like if previous RR courses. That’s the vibe we got playing it.

There is apparently a hidden difficulty system. TLDR: if you drift a lot the NPCs are harder to beat.

I did every knockout and couldn’t finish 1st in any but got 2nd, 3rd or 4th every one first try

 

My Switch finally came. Mario Kart fuckin RULES.

 

Hell yeah it does. Finally started going through the Grand Prix tonight because I really want to try out rainbow road.

Only thing this game has me scratching my head over is why does every outfit have to be its own character?

 

Finally got my switch setup. MK is awesome and the gameplay is super fun. I really wish Nintendo had its online system better integrated into games. Setting up game chat was a bit clunky, but easy enough when I figured out all of the settings.

Free roaming with friends would be a ton of fun and the fact that you can’t play with friends against other people online is pretty disappointing. The whole idea of an open world racing game and Nintendos focus on social gaming should make for a better online experience. I’m hoping these are things they will work on in the future.

 

Thought that was interesting too haha. Maybe it was a late addition.
