Battery life isn’t that big of a deal for me, don’t think I’ll find myself playing off the dock the estimated battery life span anyways
Yeah it's a bummer for sure. I don't like any handhelds these days because of their lack of battery life. 3DS worked for years before dying.
Deleted my save file and started a new game of Pokemon Violet. This is waaay better. I feel like, improved performance aside, it even looks better? Shadows are still pretty glitchy, though. Also, side note, love that we can upload screenshots directly to the Switch app now.
started my first playthrough of violet. caught a psyduck. happiest a video game has made me in months. what a great franchise.
Not quite finished yet but I think the Teal Mask DLC is the best story Pokémon has had in a long time.
I need help guys. I was about to dock when I saw that the thing on which the port is located is not straight. As in it is not aligned with the rest of the dock. See picture. Do yours look like that or do I have a dud? EDIT: Wait, it can move around, that’s probably on purpose?
Played a lot more Mario Kart yesterday and am really having a great time with it. This is going to, by leaps and bounds, be my most played online game ever without question. Things will probably change as people get stupidly good at grinding and wallriding, but the balance between skill, luck, and fun is the best it’s ever been in the series. The controls are the perfect evolution of MK8, it feels familiar but with the right amount of new potential to feel fresh. At the same time, I am so curious to see what the DLC plan with this is. The gameplay and graphics feel like the product of the 12 year wait, but a few things feel kinda unfinished to me. Free roam progress indicators would go a long way, as would a more traditional GP mode and 200cc. I don’t really get why this much time went into the world and they didn’t bother with a story mode, but alas. In the end it’s still probably the best Mario kart ever, but there is a lot of untapped potential if they support this like they did MK8D.
Still can’t find one, I’m guessing I’ll have to wait until fall. Unless, Nintendo does some supercharged run before that. I’m not sitting with my eyes glued to a screen waiting for restocks.
I’ve been following this: Switch Sniper Someone on Reddit made a tool that is checking the Best Buy store inventory (since their site sucks for checking). Based on comments it’s decent success rate, but if you see qty 1 then chances are it could be a store demo or already gone
Thanks but probably doesn’t help me. It’s just like, impossible for me to get stuff lately when every big corpo is going in-store only. Going physical only because you can’t provide proper protection against scalpers online is still ableist, sadge
Anyone got a recommendation for screen protectors? Or is the 'official' one what people have gone with?
Pokemon S/V really does look like a new game. Way bigger of an improvement than I expected. Feels very smooth too. Really impressive. I however have played so much of it last year that I don't have anything to do. I also checked out Mario Odyssey with the update. Looks incredible too.
As a person who hasn’t played a Pokémon game since Emerald a long ass time ago, would I possibly be into Scarlet/Violet?
