Feel like the odds are very high. People are reporting being able to walk into stores and get one now.
It might just depend where you live to walk in store and get it. They definitely did a great job for release day, but it’s getting thinner and thinner now a few days after. Surprised how available they were during the week. Someone on reddit posted a Best Buy tracker to see which stores could have them but it ain’t looking good around MA lol
Yeah I think it’ll probably stabilize after a couple weeks and I’d think you can get one no problem soon.
Mario kart and replaying TOTK will hold me over until DK comes out next month. Then Kirby DLC in August. Can’t wait to see what they have planned for fall / holiday.
I used it in 8 because the switch lite is much the same, was hoping the switch 2 form factor would help but yeahhh. Its mostly handheld mode that makes it rough when I have the cons attached to the controller it’s not as bad
I’m hoping by the time DK comes out I’ll be able to get one. I have several Switch 1 games I can replay or finish until then
I also never realized how small space wise the games are. The internal storage is enough for like 90% of my digital games.
You can get a Switch 2 today if you were really committed to it. Costco has them, i’ve seen a bunch of posts with target having a full stock. i can’t say you deff will find it but this isn’t a PS5 or Wii situation in the slightest
Yeah I bought a 512GB card, then installed everything on internal storage that I’d play right away and still have 101GB left internally haha. Could be placebo but I also feel like the internal storage loads things just a bit faster.
Honestly, I just assumed it was part of the course lol. It certainly feels like it’s just part of the course to me.
I only have 10 GB left on my internal storage and I haven't even fully updated all my games yet, so I did just get a 512 GB card yesterday for more breathing room
so I accidentally had set my Walmart switch order to deliver to my work office, and the only day of the week we aren’t open during normal business hours is Friday from one to five. And so of course fedex attempted delivery at 2:30, and wouldn’t leave it at the door. They also wouldn’t let me switch the delivery to my house or a pickup point. So Monday it is!
Ugh the worst. I hate when you can't change delivery instructions. When I ordered a phone from Verizon, it refused to let me take off "signature required" even with a UPS membership. I live in a locked apartment building with no buzzer or intercom. Going forward, if I've ever bought a new phone, I ship it to my mom's house haha.
I bought mine at a big electronics chain store today and they had a lot of Switch 2s. Also a lot of people in line at the cash registers buying one. They are definitely out there. They seem to have made A LOT.
I hope that's the case and that it isn't due to poor sales numbers. I know there's the one rumor that it sold 3 million units, but nothing official yet
Did the transfer and played 30 minutes of Mario Kart. The game seems fun so far. Lots of new flourishes in the animation. Console is gorgeous too. Some thoughts: The console is a little heavy. I understand why, I’m sure they did their best, but it is not ideal for long sessions of handheld gaming. Maybe I’ll get used it. I wish the music in the setup menu would be also be the home music, or in the store or something. I miss that from the pre-Switch era and this was a nice tune.
People are posting on Reddit that tons of people are already getting stick drift. While I don't doubt that some people are, I think a lot of these are fake just bandwagoning the Nintendo hate train.
Like I said, I saw a lot of people buying one. That’s anecdotal of course, but it does show that in this case they did not have many because people weren’t buying them.
Interesting, I've been pretty surprised how light the Switch 2 is. Plus, it tends to rest on my lap or stomach depending how I'm sitting.
Maybe it is true, but probably in total in isn’t a significant percentage. First few days/weeks always flushes out the small percentage of shitty units.
Yeah that seems suspicious to happen this soon unless they're insanely rough with their controllers. Like, did they immediately jump into Mario Party Superstars and just mash the hell out of their joysticks? lol
I think the rumor (or news?) was that they made 20 million units for launch, that’s A LOT. They sold 13 million WiiUs in total.
