    The Verge:

While Nintendo told us very little in the official reveal of the console in January, now we know when the Switch 2 is coming and how much it will cost at launch: June 5th and $449.99. We also have more hardware details and specs to pore over, like a 1080p, 120Hz 7.9-inch LCD screen, Joy-Con controllers with mouse-like functions, 256GB of storage, and 4K output via the dock. We even know why it’s called the Switch 2instead of Super Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo also cleared up the mysteries about the system’s “C” button with details about new GameChat features and a camera accessory, and confirmed that GameCube games are coming to Nintendo Switch Online, along with a dedicated controller to give them the respect they deserve.

Last but not least, Nintendo showed off a number of new games, like a Switch 2 edition of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and the exclusive Switch 2 launch title, Mario Kart World.

Can't wait, I still play my Switch quite often and I've had it since 2017!

The game price is absurd though. $79.99 for a digital copy of Mario Kart and $89.99 for physical. I knew this price gouging was on the way, but Nintendo just skipped a step. And no it's not because of tariffs, it's because people will pay.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it

As a member for over 10 years, people really need to look into Gamefly. For an essentially never ending game like Mario Kart, fine I"ll bite the bullet. For DK and all the other single player titles Nintendo excels at, Gamefly is perfect for the week or 2 it takes to beat it and send it back. And if you do 2 out at a time you can stagger it to where you are basically never waiting.

Did not realize Gamerly is still going on. I used it from like 2007-2012, but then moved internationally so I stopped. Loved it back then.

Hoping a OLED screen version comes along, kind of bummed they went to lcd. Will always still have that beautiful 4K port anyhow, just odd; but probably timed out for when the eventually OLED comes along.

It's funny people always say that and honestly idk how they are in business either. They also just confirmed they are getting Switch 2 titles!

Gamefly user here, same thing where I rent single player story stuff (Banishers Ghost of New Eden right now) that I'll never replay, but I'll buy longer games for sure. Great service.
