Because it's not like Halo or Sly Cooper where it's a single narrative that's tied to one brand/console ecosystem. For instance, if I want to follow the story of Halo 4, I can buy Halo 5 on the same system or buy the future installments on a platform I was more likely to be purchasing anyway.

P4 and P5 to an even larger degree, take a much different approach. Do you want to follow the narrative of a single story? Well, you might want to buy the original game for the PS4, a system you may not own, buy a 3DS for PQ2, and then get Scramble on Switch. It's just really strange that to get the experience of something as a fan, you're expected to sink so much money.

Imagine having to buy a different DVD player for different seasons of a show or something. It's just weird to me.

 

So you essentially don’t like it that the spin-offs are exclusive to other platforms by other hardware makers for? I can see that. It is an odd way to do it.
