Yes to both. 2DS vs 3DS especially.

That's where it comes down to my response saying that it does logically make sense when broken down, but whether or not people agree with my opinion in this instance is a completely different thing. I didn't think it was unique to the Switch.

Haha that's fair. To me it just feels like a natural progression from the DS, similar to the DS vs Gameboy. All are handheld-only devices.

Again, just my opinions. Not saying what the industry norms are or anything. But I'm all set on this convo now, carry on

The thing is that the Switch Lite isn't as different as the PS4 Pro is to the PS4. It's just as if you only played your regular Switch in handheld mode. It's just cheaper and smaller. The PS4 Pro allows you to actually experience things differently.

 

I will say I don't necessarily disagree that the Switch Lite is akin to the DS because Nintendo has always had two pillars, handheld and console. They knew the Switch in general was going to eat up their 3DS market so this is a way to replace that. If my 3DS also played Wii or Wii U games, it would have been the best system ever.

Finally bought Mario Maker 2 and subsequently spent the next five hours building a level. This could be a problem.

 

Super good game. Glad they added online co-op.

I beat Link's Awakening and it's one of my least favorite Zelda games and least favorite gaming experiences.

 

No way I'd ever finish a game that I didn't like lol

Did anyone ever mention that Baldurs Gate and, one of the best games of all time, Baldurs Gate II were released on switch? Holy cow.

 

God damn it now I just wanna see Vase finishing a game he hates IRL.
