I wish I just picked 4 characters and just did their stories, idk if any stories were real bad to me, but it got very redundant doing all 8 chapters each time. Still a beautiful game I had a ton of fun with

 

I'm thinking of doing 4-4.

I really don't want to play the early game again haha.


who was your favorite character?

 

Hmmmmmmm Cyrus or Tressa. All the stories were just decent to me nothing mind-blowing but it's HARD to make a great story in a very long jrpg

 

I’ve got $20 in rewards from Best Buy and am trying to decide between Dragon Quest and Links Awakening.

Gonna price match to Walmart’s $50 price and get a good deal, just can’t decide on which.

 

You will get 10 times the value with DQ, just saying. LA is about 10 hours MAYBE, I could argue DQ has over 100 hours. Get DQ dude.

I enjoyed opening up the map (mid game) but now it feels like a chore. Also I don’t enjoy the dungeons.

I've been feeling the urge to play it again lol. It's a gorgeous game. I might be the only person around these parts with zero complaints about the game, although I'm aware of its many flaws

Other than the legend of Zelda II, i didn’t think there was a bad Zelda game...

 

If I’ve never played a JRPG and don’t typically like turn based stuff but want to try and get it would DQ11 be a decent starting point?

and don’t say XC2 because just reading you guys explaining the combat gave me a migraine

 

this is me too and yes imo. it helps there’s a demo that’s almost 10 hours worth of gameplay and if you decide it’s for you the progress carries over. the world is super charming and I’m really into the story more than I thought.

I like it because there are so many different options you can set for how you’d like to play. you can control your other party members in battle as much or as little as you want. so unless I was fighting a boss I would let the AI pick their attacks and worked perfect.
