I replayed ALTTP recently and it just never quite hits me the way it seems to for others. I frequently see it mentioned as the best Zelda game and while I do think it's incredibly important for defining the formula for a game like Ocarina to then perfect. I think most of the dungeons and bosses in that game are pretty weak by Zelda's standards and I've just never found the world or the characters as charming as other entries either. I really like that Link has pink hair for some reason though.

 

Any chance of Donkey Kong playing a part in Mario Odyssey? I would understand the Easter eggs like New Donk city and the 1981 license plates paying homage to the original game. What I don't understand is the plethora of references to the Donkey Kong Country series, Mario hasn't had any interaction with the majority of those characters... Strange.

I'm just really trying to get a Lucina at this point. But I am having fun with the game.

I literally can't believe how soon I'll have this thing in my hands.

 

paid off my Switch this morning. the hype is at an all time high.

 

It was a little frustrating to wait so long for solid info on the system but now I'm happy they waited so long for a full reveal. It kept my hype and excitement pretty consistently high.

 

Saw an ad for the Switch on TV for the first time since the Super Bowl, good to see Nintendo marketing this thing. It featured 1,2 Switch and Just Dance so I guess they're going hard for that Wii audience.

 

Fuckin Fire Emblem Heroes is so great. Almost brings a tear to my eye, seeing some of my favorite characters from the original GBA game rendered and drawn better (Lyn, Bartre, Nino, etc.).

 

Got my Switch and Zelda completely paid off.

Feels good man.

 

Got an NES Classic for today, it's so nice

 

Preordered 2 units. I grabbed the neon red/blue and my SO took the grey one. The bundle didn't really bother me as I was planning to get BotW and 1-2 Switch anyway.

Only 2ish week left. Can't wait for March 3 when we stop talking about how much we can't wait getting it, and actually get it, and then spend like 2 hours actually playing it, and then spending the rest of the day posting here talking how cool it is to finally have one

Yeah, it's going to be a Nintendo Switch party up in hurr. I'm probably going to create some contraption so as to operate the Switch, chorus, and the cat in my lap at the same time without ever having to get up again. Maybe install a chamberpot in my couch cushion and get an IV drip for sustenance.

 

I need a Switch commercial that's a heated, tearful argument between a couple. One screaming about how they want to get the system that they can play on their fancy TV, and the other one being like "WELL I NEED SOMETHING TO PLAY ON THE BUS BECAUSE I LET YOU TAKE THE CAR TO WORK, GOD DAMMIT!"

And then, text crawl:

"Nintendo Switch. Getchu a system that can do both."

 

I would never question Nintendo again if this was their Valentine's Day ad
