Ni No Kuni was one of the greatest PS3 games of all time. If there aren’t any serious technical problems with this rerelease, anyone who hasn’t played it 100% needs to. It’s amazing.

I played some hours of Ni No Kuni 2 but lost interest somehow. Is 1 really different?

1 is much much better and is different in over 90% of its mechanics and storytelling.

I never even played the sequel for that exact reason. I adore the first one.

For the Lite did they fix the bullshit that made the Lite joysticks break/drag so easily? Because if not then having them attached to the Lite itself makes it seem like the worst possible investment

Nobody knows. It might very well not be a problem because there’s so much less tech in the controller parts of the Light than in the original joy con.

Me, and loving every minute of it. Really hard to avoid the temptation to look up a guide for the dungeons though. I missed out on so many seminal games over the years, all these Switch ports/remakes are a godsend.

Replaced my launch day Switch with a Switch Lite this weekend since I never use docked mode and wanted something more portable, and I’m actually blown away at how much more comfortable the smaller unit is for me. I used to get terrible numbness in my hands after playing for about 30 minutes in handheld with the full size Switch, but been playing the Lite continuously for the last few hours without even any pins and needles. It’s just a joy to use.

I went to a local retro game fair and I found someone that can make me a backlit GBA for 100€

some of the stuff in this game is absurd if you don't know where to go next/what to do. no idea how I did it as a kid lol

I remember when I got Links Awakening DX we had just gotten a computer and printer. So I went to GameFaqs and printed out the largest walkthrough. And the separate walkthrough for each dungeon. And the seashell collection checklist. Pretty much ran through all the ink and all the paper in one day. My mom was pissed. And I still have all those walkthroughs in a little binder somewhere. Just saw it like 2 years ago.

I did that for Majora’s Mask. Good times.

back in my day we didn't have this fancy seashell detector device, we just rammed into every tree with the Pegasus boots and dug up every pixel of dirt /s

My son kept getting impatient with me because I still cut down every blade of grass and dig everywhere.

Just a reminder for all the 3DS owners here that Link's Awakening DX is available on the eShop and is worth every penny
