Mannnnnnn I wish they would've just given us a direct port of the SNES DQ3. Those "updated" sprites do not look anywhere near as good as the originals.

Never played DQ2 but hopefully it's at least as good as FF2. FF2 is a pretty cool game, at least it was on the GBA.

 

FF2 is easily the worst in the main series, jus sayin

Nah it's better than FF1. It actually has a pretty cool story/characters for its era. And I give it credit for trying something different with the character progression.

I only ever played it on GBA but I remember enjoying it and not having a problem with how it played. I was also 14 at the time, though, so

My wife ordered a Switch lite and is wanting to play her first FF and I wanted to recommend VI to start

 

Honestly though 9 is already on there and that's not a bad first one either.

 

Yeah that's what I suggested to start for the time being

 

If someone was trying to get into FF, I would definitely recommend 4, 6, or 9 as the first one. That should be fun though, having her go through it for the first time. My first FF was X and then I played 1 & 2 on GBA after lol

My first was FFVIII and then I played FFX and FFVII, then back to VI as my first pre-PS FF

 

Yeah id tell anyone playing their first one to play VI
