I'm still not huge on the two colors. I love each individually but one of each...eh. I think it's awesome that it's an option though, love having some decent options for bright colored consoles/controllers out of the gate.

Haha yeah, it does look a bit offputting. My SO did claim I'm sort of a neat freak and always wanting everything to match, or look in place. So this is a good way of getting that out my system.

And one last minor thing, and being very nitpicky here, having different joycons would let you tell who player 1 and 2 is easily vs the monocolored one

just did a trade in for my 3ds on amazon so i can still get a switch. already sort of regret it but i haven't really played it much since pokemon anyway. amazon also gave me $29 more than i paid for it so thats a win i guess.

yeah I'm considering doing the same but I guess it depends what VC looks like on the Switch, because there are some games I'd still like to probably go back and play. Also I'm a total sucker for Streetpass stuff so I hope that makes it over to the switch in some way

With all the VC I have on it, I could never trade in my 3DS haha. I love mine too much. Plus all the DS games I use it for too.

sadly they've already said no streetpass (or miiverse) stuff on Switch

Yeah, I am the kind of dude who winds up trading in everything ever, but I will never part with my N3DS. It is literally my favorite system of all time, and once it dies off and they stop updating the firmware, the modding scene will only thrive and I'll get to juice it up with classics and such. I will not even put a dent in all the DS games I want to play by the time I'm dead lol.

ah damn, I must have missed this. Well that's a bummer, I'll probably hold off for a while then because I love my n3ds

Just a general comment but it's always hilarious to see how much Wii U stuff is in stores despite the fact they haven't sold Wii U's for a few months now.

Nintendo has pretty high attach rates and consistent software sales, even with the WiiU as far as I know

I feel like they could have found some more life if they had another price drop during holiday 2015, right when Super Mario Maker was popular on the Internet and Smash was in the middle of DLC.

The WiiU was always sold at a loss, so the projected numbers must have shown them that a price drop would not have helped the bottom line

What is Star Fox Guard for Wii U and is it worth $3 at gamestop?

It was a throw in game with Star Fox Zero. And I'd say it's worth $3. It kept me entertained for a few weeks.

Thanks for not posting that link to the google search gif! Haha

$3 is pretty disposable so it's like you can't really complain

I rerolled on Fire Emblem Heroes until today. Got to the point of going insane. Then, I sat down after dinner...

First pull: 5* Chrom, 5* Marth, 5* Hawkeye
Second pull: 5* Tiki, 5* Roy, 5* Peri

Every once in a while, pathetic levels of determination directed at superficial things pay off in pathetic, superficial ways! Some poor soul on reddit spent $600 and had worse luck, and I haven't cleared all the levels on Normal yet, let alone spent money. Feel a little validated (but mostly pathetic!).

I hate myself for saying this, but I would like it if they would put a mode in future mainline Fire Emblem games that only features maps and battles with the scope they have in Heroes. Of course this is coming from the guy that in his heart of hearts just wants a Fire Emblem x Harvest Moon.

Maybe they could rework the Arena to have that mechanic. That sounds like a good direction.

I mean make it an option for the whole game, exta baby mode, haha. But yeah, the arena would be cool too.

New Zelda footage/screens/info out there and I'm dying. I can't wait. It looks too good. By far the best designs Link and Zelda have ever had, I think the only game I like the look of as much as this is Bloodborne. I need it.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me. They've been skewing towards being friendlier to the casual/new Fire Emblem player for a while now with all sorts of different difficulty options (hell, Fates had an entire game that was focused on easier maps/difficulty), I could see them trying to appeal to new fans from FEH by giving them a similarly simple but more fleshed out experience.
