Honestly outside of the Mario games idk what other NES games I’ve revisited once I’ve beaten/been done with them. SMB3 in particular is still an amazing game and it’s still impressive as hell that they were able to make that game on the NES. But like why would I go back to the original Zelda when I could play ALttP?

 

ALttP is more accessible but original Zelda still is a pretty cool game in it’s own way. I don’t really like the “why would I play X if Y” argument in this situation because both can still be good. Anyway, the Mario NES games are great, a lot of people like the Mega Man games, I also like the Kirby games etc.

 

It's true that both can still be good I just don't like the first or second Zelda

There are definitely some fun NES games out there though, I like SNES MUCH more but that doesn't invalidate NES

 

I'm just speaking for me, personally. I just think ALttP is more fun, I don't think the original is bad or anything.

Also I like the Mega Man X games wayyyyyy better than the 8-bit ones.

 

I think you’re the exception there. Personally all real Mega Man games are too hard for me lol

I just know I spent about 2 hours total on NES games for the past year, I spent about 4 hours last night on SNES.


Apparently the NES and SNES games won't' be on a monthly release anymore, they are just going to do it sporadically which is cool as long as there aren't long droughts with SNES, I doubt there will be.

Just talking the 2D ones lol, X-X6. The 3D ones are horrendous. I'm one of the people that's been holding out hope that Capcom would go back and make an X9 in the old school 16-bit style like they did with Mega Man 9 and 10 going back to 8-bit.

They just released a load of SNES games in one go and people are mad about the no more monthly games? Ugh gamers are the worst
