Wasn’t the word that Nintendo gave them carte blanche to work on whatever they wanted and the project they selected was (allegedly) Star Fox Racing?

The best news of this direct was things to unlock in Tetris 99 I will take any excuse to play more of that game.

 

As someone else said, grinding is key, especially early on, but if you just play the game straight and don't use a guide, make sure you check everything because there are a ton of "secrets" and other important things in the towns and such that will give you an edge in battle later. Without any spoilers or anything, you're going to want to level all of your party members because they all play an important part.

Also, save a lot, especially in the beginning because until you really get a good flow going you might end up running into some battles where you feel really underpowered, but it's pretty easy to overcome just by taking some time to re-explore some places and of course, grind baddies.

Nah, I played it as a kid without a guide and I was fine and I'm pretty meh at games. You could probably just ask one of us to help you out if you need anything. I'm going to be replaying it as well so it should jog my memory a little better too.

Very early tip: I usually grind Ryu to level 5 before taking on the first dungeon. And don't wander too far from the starting town because a group of three D. Fleas will kill you easily.
