As someone who worked in video game linguistic departments before:

what kind of fucking asshole puts these people on blast publicly for such a non issue. Some poor tester who makes 8 bucks an hour will get shat on for a minor oversight, probably have an anxiety attack and then move on to some other excel file with badly translated text from some also underpaid translator who doesn’t even know what a wii is. But congrats I guess.

Capcom should put out finished products, I don’t think that’s controversial lol Now we can’t point out glaring mistakes? People in charge should however pay people enough etc. so that they can properly do their work.

 

The game leaving in a mention of a Wii remote in a French translation means it’s unfinished?

I mean it's definitely not the fault of the translator or tester right? I'd think it'd be the fault of the boss who said "Here translate this" and gave the translator bad information to translate. People better not assume it's a translator or tester's fault, that'd be moronic.

additionally these types of bugs could hold it up at cert too. If Nintendo had spotted this, this build would have been rejected.

 

It is unfinished, yes. It is not a real problem, it just seems a very Capcom-like thing to happen.

 

No translating was done since the Wi version was already there. Whoever was responsible for moving the text to the Switch must have made this mistake.

 

How is the Ace Attorney trilogy on Switch? I can't imagine not playing those games on a DS

it's good - has touchscreen support so that's how i played the investigations, whether you like the cleaned up/hd art is a personal preference thing (i think it's fine)
